WELCOME TO LINEAGE. THIS IS A GAME ABOUT A BLENDER.
Well, not really. It's more about taking classic RPG classes and blending them over, and over, and over again. If you want something like a spellsword, you'd need to mix a warrior with an arcane mage.

*Note that on the Class List, Mage is a single entry. You'll have to specify what KIND of mage, and generally, a mage only has control over one sphere of magery. No elementalists unless you can make one, but a fire mage is a-ok. Summoners are a subtype of mage,
**Just because a class is not on the list DOES NOT mean you cannot ask for it. If it makes sense as a base class, I will add it and let you use it any time you see fit.
***Summoners also require some kind of summoning idea- if you want bears, choose "forest animals".

Growth and levelling did not make it into this release.

You'll start off in a town armed with a random weapon. Weapons can add effects and modify stats.

Choose classes to mix, and I'll return your new stats and allow you to name it. It then goes on the board for everyone to use. Sometimes the same mix will reward different skills passed down, so be mindful of that.

If there's some kind of mage you aren't sure if you can take, just ask. Necromancers are technically summoners of the dead, so you'd be a summoner-styled class, but again. Ask for classes.

Rolling some d11's, I got a Thief/Guardian. So...I'll go with that, I guess.

Hm...

Guardians tend to help people, whilst Thieves take from them. I suppose that my hybrid would be someone who helps people and takes extra money from them when they're not looking.
Or maybe, since Guardians protect people...a Guardian/Thief gets "protection"?

So, I guess I'm a Racketeer.

Skills:
Lethality PASS (Small chance to instantly kill a target on a hit to the torso or head)
Void Walk (3MP. Opponents cannot target you until your next attack or after 3 turns.)
Mindjack (6MP. Telepathically scrambles electrical signals coming from the target, causing him to lash out at anything nearby before collapsing.
Mana Projectile (1MP. Conjure a small blade to be thrown at an enemy. An enemy has a chance to spot it if already engaged, but can't counter.)

Bandaging 2MP: Stops bleeding, treats small wounds.
Hijack 3MP: Can steal the weapon right from an enemy hand. Coinflip chance.
Cloak And Dagger PASS: Unit always goes for dodge. Any successful dodge causes a counterattack.
Brotherhood PASS: Attempts to save a unit about to die in combat by attacking the enemy about to deliver the finishing blow, once per turn. On a d6, requires a 5 or 6.

An archer typically strikes using ranged weapons, possibly steathily. Usually they strike first at a battle, followed by the melee fighters. Light mages are typically assosiated as holy fighters of the undead and evil people, due to the common image that light is good. So, the ranged military feel combined with the religious aspect means I am a Templar Archer. Anyway... Are we going to start then?

"Meta" as in "category of self"; i.e. magic that manipulates magic for buffing spells or disrupting enemy spells but with an inability to actually cast any spells of its own.
