How about combine cephalopod and tree and be a tree with 8 tentacles that hurts you when hit?

What, the second part of the challenge involved not being able to get 30 flasks? I don't see how I spoiled anything. You spoiled the fact I spoiled something.

The tree idea sounds a bit boring. How about a cephalopod melee character who only uses a gold bar? You can wear a fur trenchcoat, gold rings, silver necklaces, graverobbed relics, etc, and be an octopus pimp with a crazy custom vehicle in the shape of a phallus. With 8 tentacles, you could get the maximum slappage in (which is the reason for cephalopod), but any mutation category would work.

An alternative is to go slime with severe radioactivity and just mutate constantly at random.

If there were stealth I would.

I'm personally liking the Spider myself.  All those night-time traits are very interesting!  I'd drop the Carnivore, because food sources are never very clear, and then probably try and find a broadsword and no clothing and cosplay as Quelaag.

I don't know...fresh meat is pretty easy to come across. I usually live off of meat once I get past the first day anyway, since there is a ready supply. All my canned goods and whatnot end up being emergency supplies in case I get sick or can't hunt for some reason.

I approve of that plan. Nude spider chicks for the win.
And actually, with full night vision and a handful of other traits/mutations/cbms/what-have-you stealth is actually there. Not particularly effective stealth, admittedly.

Challenge: grab the mutation that makes you mutate, then wait some days and try to get rid of all the mutations.

Not a bad idea actually. Take Radiogenic and Severe Radioactivity. The radiation will heal you and constantly mutate you.

Or... just take unstable genetics?

And then mod remove it after  like 15 mutations and play with what you've got.
