You are an 'Immortal' Convict
« on: July 08, 2013, 07:25:51 pm »

All you want to do is sleep.

A blaring klaxon, although muffled, keeps you from achieving this goal. You aren't quite sure where you are... In fact, you can barely see. You can't even move. Slowly, your mind rouses as the terror of confinement creeps in. You shout and scream for help... are you even making a sound? A mist pours over you, causing your skin to sear with extreme pain. Then, you feel an absolute chill wash over you. Exhausted by the ordeal, you fall limp in your restraints, only to be released. The door to the capsule opens. It takes some effort, but you lift yourself from the capsule. Once you are outside, you collapse onto the dusty floor. It seems your legs are far too weak to carry you.

While you are weak and vulnerable, your mind drifts back to the past...

What is your name?

What is... used to be your profession?

What is your crime?

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Unofficial slogan of Bay 12 Games.

Death to the false emperor a warhammer40k SG

[3] Albert Mariko... Enlightened Researcher/Assassin... Opposing the Government through Sabotage and Selective Assassination? Yes, that sounds right.

You finally gather the strength to get to your feet. This looks like a medbay, except it has been looted. Medical instruments litter the floor, the wall mirror is shattered, pieces of glass strewn about. What happened here? You look back to your prison. It looks like a cryopod, but far more advanced.

You hear the whirring of machinery below you. A machine of the wall lights up and spits out a sealed bag.

What number is on the wall?

12?

The wall to your left is dominated by a large '12' with a question mark burned into the wall next to it, whatever that means. There is a doorway in front of you, leading to a hallway. The sealed bag lays on the dirty floor to your right, and dull, rusty medical instruments are strewn about.

Am I number twelve? What the fuck.. Tear the bag open, unless it has a zipper or a drawstring or something.

Form question mark into sickle. Equip as weapon.

You wish you had a weapon while looking longingly at the scorch question mark.

Am I number twelve? What the fuck.. Tear the bag open, unless it has a zipper or a drawstring or something.

You pick up the bag that, upon closer inspection, has a zipper. Upon opening the bag, you take the patient gown, 3 syringes, a yellow pamphlet titled 'Project Redemption!', and 10 tin tokens.
