Might be better to drug him. Giant fucking blood pools in the halls aren't the most subtle, you know?

((Is anyone roughly the same build as the guard? Can we tell?))

"True.  Who has the tranquiliser gun again?"

Armoth smiles, and pulls the tranq gun out of his jacket

Always come prepared. Though something a bit faster-acting would be ideal.

You're the only human, so you're the closest to his build.

"Then they need to learn some patience."

Go look for a victim to mug, preferably a wimpy criminal.

You go up to the surface. It's late, maybe 10:00. Harold leads you to his hunting ground, an alley adjacent to some residential district. After a bit of waiting, you two spot a woman walking down the street.

"She looks easy enough. Wanna go after her?"

((Nobody? Alright.))

Move to subdue the guard watching the TV. Tranq him once close or as soon as he reacts to my presence, shoot him with multiple darts if the gun is semi-auto. Attempt to keep him from making noise, if possible.

((Nobody? Alright.))

Move to subdue the guard watching the TV. Tranq him once close or as soon as he reacts to my presence, shoot him with multiple darts if the gun is semi-auto. Attempt to keep him from making noise, if possible.

You sneak down the hallway and take a look into the room. The two armoured guards from before have moved on, so you sneak as close as you dare to the checkpoint guard. [CRIT] You sneak all the way, right up next to him. You shoot him in the neck and pull him down, covering his mouth. He struggles for a few moments before falling asleep.

"Impress me, you might get a reward if your as good as you seem to think you are."

Without another word, the brute jumps from the alley and drags the woman back, throwing her against the dumpster. She cries out in pain, but your ally grabs her by the neck. "Scream, and you're dead. Give me your credsticks, your necklace, and that nice ring." He tosses her back down. She fumbles for her purse and immediately pulls out her mace. Harold is quicker than you thought, though, as he slaps the can from her hand. "Do you want to fucking die? Give me the money!" Meekly, she hands over a couple credsticks along with her jewelry.

"Thanks," Harold says, kicking her once to show his gratitude. "C'mon, let's get out of here." He starts running back to the Depths, and you follow.

Once you're back down in the relative safety of the underground city, Harold scans his loot. "One 80, one 40, and two 20's. That's, uh... like 200? And this ring will go for at least 250. Dunno if the necklace is worth anything..."

Go back down to the criminal area to find somebody to sell the jewelry to.

"Very nice work.  Now let's see if he has a keycard."

Check body for a keycard we can use.

"Alright, you ninja'ed that guy! Very nice."

"Anyhow, I'm thinking we should find those Dread Mothers and take 'em down while they're isolated, preferably permanently, eh? If an alarm is raised and they find us all together, I think we're in trouble."

Examine available stuff in the checkpoint. Is there a map of the building, some sort of indication where exactly we are and where the rest of the building's checkpoints are?

Determine if I could reasonably pass for the guard at a glance (same hair color, similar height, etc.)

Quickly scan checkpoint area for anything of interest (floor plans, documents, etc).

Go back down to the criminal area to find somebody to sell the jewelry to.

You don't know of any fences, but Harold does. He leads you to his old friend Rick, who appraises the ring.

"It's decent. I'll give you 150 for it," the shrewd, gaunt man says.

"What? That rock is worth at least 200," Harold objects.

"Who's the fence here? 150. And that's generous. Take it or leave it." Harold looks to you for approval.

"Very nice work.  Now let's see if he has a keycard."

Check body for a keycard we can use.

You find a class B keycard on the guards person.

There is no map, nor are there floor plans. There is a small TV, a half empty box of pastries, a few documents detailing today's guests and passerby, and a terminal on stand-by mode, asking for a level B keycard.

The guard is a little under six feet tall, balding, but his hat masks it, with brown hair. Caucasian with a portly build. Usually hired security and corporate security don't intermingle, so as long as you keep your mouth shut and your head down you should be able to pass as this guard. You hope.

"The fuck is up with this place? Do they expect employees to just know the layout by heart or something? Seriously, if I worked here, I'd have some words for these two-bit assholes."

Take an intact pastry if there is one. Smell it.

Try the keycard in the nearby terminal.  If successful, bring up a map of the complex, and try to locate the mainframe, and the lab.

Alexis nods at him while looking around to check they are alone.

If they are Alexis then hits him with her sword on a voltage high enough to stun a rampaging rhino.

Smells like custard and cinnamon. Fresh, but a bit cold.

Try the keycard in the nearby terminal.  If successful, bring up a map of the complex, and try to locate the mainframe, and the lab.

"Welcome, Boris" the terminal says as it resumes running. You navigate to a three dimensional map pretty easily. The mainframe is of floor B2, the bottom floor, behind an S ranked door. There are many labs in the facility, but the two major chemical labs, Lab B-3 and Lab B-4, are on level B1. They are sealed behind B ranked doors. You are currently on level 1, right above the basement levels.

You are not alone, unfortunately. You are in what passes as a bar down here in the depths. There are several intimidating looking bar dwellers about, not to mention the bartender, who has a shotgun mounted on the wall.
