Confirm it's him against his picture. (( Btw what species is he, I don't think it ever said and it's important for where I aim. ))

He's not facing in your direction, but his skin colour doesn't match.

((He's a ramok, like the hostages.))

Phone his comlink.

"I know what you look like corporal, if your not on the street in 10 seconds the youngest child dies, then the other, then your sister. Then I inform every news outlet in the city that I offered to help you stop the coming campaign that will cripple this city, and you refused, now get out here, drop your clothes and do a circle so I can see your following my orders.

Also just so your aware, the bag on your sister is a rather potent explosive device, if you attempt to disarm it, she dies, if you attempt to move her, she dies, if you attempt to tamper with the bag, she dies.

Don't push me corporal, now come out and send your squad away, I said alone. I don't trust them.

If he does what he's told confirm his face when he spins.

"O-okay... I'm not the corporal. I'm his brother-in-law. He said... He said he wasn't going to risk coming out... But I have the money, here!" The ramok in the light throws the briefcase down. "All 13000 credits... Please, they have nothing to do with this... Just take the money and go!"

On the edge of your perception, you hear the shattering of glass down below you.

Shoot him in the neck with my suppressed rifle, move to the side of the door to the roof and draw my full auto pistol and one of the 9mm pistols then wait to see who comes out, shoot whoever they are the moment they come out aiming for the exposed neck or chest.

"I'm sorry, but that wasn't the deal."

You shoot the man in the neck and he goes down. At once, you hear the clatter of armoured footsteps up the stairs to the roof, and the opening or the van doors. One armoured man kicks in the door to the roof. You shoot him instantly, but there is no exposed areas to speak of, he is wearing full armour. Though he goes down all the same, several bullets in his chest. Two more armoured men replaces him, shooting you with their shotguns.

Both volleys succeed in biting into you. One shot hits you in the chest, while the other gets you in the leg.

Three men, all in advanced armour, jettison up to the rooftop from the street. "Surrender now, and I'll give you a quick death!"

((There's an air conditioning unit, but nothing else. The roof is made of... standard building material? Concrete? And you're sixteen feet off the ground right now.))

Well no other choice then, as I said yesterday in another game.
Audacity and arrogance.

Start to raise my hands then do the last thing they'd expect. Charge the 2 in the doorway, move low and roar as loud as I can hoping to throw them off for a moment.
Shoot them both as I go and aim to pass between them so if they fire it'll hit the 3 behind me.

Not much choice, I can't just run they'd slaughter me so I guess it's in the hands of the dice gods if I get blown to pieces or pull off the ultimate shock victory.

Oh, incase it's possible I want to add a hail mary.

Prey that some random criminal group or the bosses guys are nearby to butt in and shoot the law enforcement.

Preying can't hurt.

You feign surrender before charging headlong to your death attack. The two you charge shoot at you, but your maneuvre throws them off. You attempt to shoot them as you pass, but your wild charging throws off your aim and you miss. The three in advanced armour shoot at you, regardless of your proximity to their allies. Two of them miss their shots, but the one in gold trimmed armour gets you in the left leg. Somehow, you keep your balance as you struggle down the stairs.

The two uninjured guards you passed are sure to chase. There are two exits to the building, the backdoor and the front. Where do you go?

Run out the front. swipe suitcase, steal truck, drive for safety. Oh and... shoot the family as I drive away.

You limp to the front door, but before you can open it, you are shot once again by one of the armoured men. The pellets bite into your left arm and back. You walk out the front door to find the gold trimmed ramok waiting for you, propelled by his pack. He lands in front of you and pulls out his laser knife. Without thinking, you parry his quick slash with your sword, but you are knocked down by the blow, unbalanced by your injuries.

"Stand up. Stand, so you can die as a warrior, even as you lived as a coward." He stands over you, knife in hand.

Armor always has weak areas around the joints. I am so fucked.

Ram sword up into his groin through weak point at inner leg, roll aside as I do so and shoot anybody behind me with semi auto pistol. Head for the car.

You attempt to stab him. Unfortunately, you are faint from lack of blood, and merely scratch his armour.

"You die as a coward, then." He grabs you by the hair and slits your throat. As you lay there, dying, he removes his mask to reveal himself. It is, perhaps, no great surprise that he is none other than Bombur the Foreign. His scowl matched the one in his picture, you note.

You have been struck down.
