You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Observe the targets behavior until it's shooting time.

"Well, thanks for the help. It's good to know what this person is capable of.

I need to go now. If what you tell me is true-the surveillance hasn't started yet, and it will soon.

Hmm. If the Kid is watching me, you might want to lay low for a bit, but that's up you...and I'll give you my number. My private number. No one should be able to trace this. I might need help from you again...and you might need mine."

Looking at this broken person, Flit felt a twinge of guarded sympathy. There was no helping him, no fixing him, not avenging what he had perhaps brought upon himself. But she got the feeling avoiding his circumstance would be revenge enough. She wouldn't let the Kid play her for a fool...and if came down to it...

Action: Ready to mission now!

You hear the locks click into place behind you as you leave the room. Leaving the district, you head to a motel, where you wait until the mission begins...

Hmm..

Focus magical research on the art of locating and using magic, and also how to best keep spells once you have used them.

You search for a while until you come upon a guide to magic. Warlock Jamon's Guide to Wisps and the Flux. The guide describes spells as 'wisps' that can be felt with natural talent, or with special magic items. It reads, 'Contrary to popular belief, wisps can be harvested and even grown by the finely attuned, or with the help of magical items. Though natural skill and items alone aren't enough to fully grasp the flux. You must be trained by a warlock proper in the ways of sorcery... The passage goes on to recommend several reputable warlocks that teach their ways to the talented. The passage also says that with skill and training anyone can tame these wisps to their command. It takes a certain mindset, several arcane exercises, and patience, but any wisp can be tamed. Jamon says the most important thing is to not cast the spell immediately unless absolutely necessary. The longer you keep the spell with you, the more likely it is to stay with you permanently. He goes on to warn that some wisps are apt to leave anyway, without warning. To mitigate this risk, use arcane exercises such as meditation and more elaborate styles such as Wei-Jou and Kalamna.

Chuckle "Sorry, not 'duty' at the moment. Maybe next time."

Walk on

You continue along the path until you reach a small waterfall and stream. An elderly couple appear to be meditating near the bottom of the waterfall, on the riverbank.

Observe the targets behavior until it's shooting time.

You have to find the target first! Well, it's easy enough. One of the Kid's contacts tells you he is currently in his bunker. He only leaves for missions, she says.

You find the bunker easy enough. A small building nestled between two larger buildings in the industrial district. There are guards everywhere. Two stationed at the door, four on the roof, eight patrolling the perimeter in two groups of four. He must be pretty important.

Find a building that overlooks the main exit from the bunker then settle in, see if I can spot anything to give me a hint as to why he's important and study the guards to see if they're good or just look good.

If he happens to walk outside, or come anywhere near a window then shoot him between the eyes, assuming my rifle can penetrate bulletproof glass which it should.

Use the disk to try and find any of the reputable warlocks mentioned in the book.  If found nearby, see if they are willing to train me.

You find a nearby building is slated for destruction. Not the safest sniper nest, but better than one of the occupied buildings. You make your way to the top floor, and enter one of the storage rooms. A large window dominates the north wall. You slide it open and set up shop.

The bunker is plain concrete, with no markings or windows. Only a thick blast door as it sole entrance. The guards are fully armoured, with ballistic combat rifles. They wear the mark of Minoch Security, a golden eagle on a white sun. They don't err from their positions, two guards on the door, one on each corner of the roof. The two groups of four patrol around the perimeter of the fence surrounding the compound.

The blast door opens. You see a ramok woman and two children leave the safety of the compound. Two large ramoks, unarmoured, trail behind them. None of them match the description of the target.

Use the disk to try and find any of the reputable warlocks mentioned in the book.  If found nearby, see if they are willing to train me.

Unfortunately, none of these warlocks lives in Reavtan. You do another search, looking for magic trainers in the area. There are a few hedge wizards, here or there, that charge excessively for their services. There is another you find, though. A true warlock, who only trains those he deems worthy. Azikai of the Thorn, a hintling man, can be found at his training hall near the port. Do you wish to seek his service?

(( Are the two unarmored men armed at all that I can see? What are they wearing? ))

Leave my post and follow the group that just left the house discreetly.

Having just left to tail the group Alexis quickly used her new toy to send a message to her brutish companion. ( DanSmithers.)

"I think I just caught a break with our target, mind joining me? The beacon is on so you can track me easily enough and if your fast I believe we can get some more information on our target as well as a few useful bargaining chips."

"Perhaps a more discreet approach before you draw in every law officer in 100 miles?

Besides, I won't be close enough for your gas to be an issue unless your a spectacularly bad shot.

"The target is inside a heavily fortified and well defended bunker. Currently I'm tracking what I assume is his family with 2 potential bodyguards. I want them alive to gather additional information and to use as bargaining chips. Not as a pile of corpses to bury.

Leave my post and follow the group that just left the house discreetly.

((They have side arms, and they're wearing street clothes. They're ramoks though, which means they have natural chitin plates under their skin.))

You follow the small group down the street and into the next district. They enter a large flea market, bustling with vendors and foreigners.

Your ramok ally arrives shortly after you call him. You two stand outside the market, across the street.
