Buy two Flashs at 50c and a bottle of chloroform for 10c, also get a rag for the sleeping takedown.

Look for the lockpick analog for this age

Lokk-Agar grimaced at the pricing, and decided against the purchases, as there is no point wasting money on a cheap thermal visor that isn't going to be any good.  He decided to change tactic, and do a different search, but before that he needed to figure out how to change the damn voice.

Change the voice settings on the disk to Katt.  If that is just as annoying as Kwaa, turn them off.  Afterwards search the market for a compact SMG, preferably with a laser sight and a foregrip.  If I have another action, search for some remotely detonated explosives.

"Naw, naw, man. I'm looking for stuff used in demolition, not anti-personnel thingies. Plastic explosives, you know. Stuff you can make shaped charges with. Plus detonators for that stuff. What kind of price margin am I looking at for things like that?"

Search for a rental hover-platform thingy. It just has to hover.

Flit wondered how far was too far...but, if he was good as they said, then he'd tell her personally.

Action: Dig Deeper!

You take a few more hours to find reliable informants. Unfortunately, you only find more baseless rumours. You also come upon several traps set up for people who snoop too much. Luckily, you were able to see the signs of a bad contact, and avoid getting your legs broken. One of your contacts wasn't so lucky...

Finally, the next morning, you find one of the Kid's loose ends. One of his faithful followers that lost his faith, and lived to tell the tale. He lives in the Production District, in one of the tenements. Your directions are from a trusted source.

You stand outside the old building, a scrap of paper in your hand. 'Room 54, tell him you're from the hospital'. Do you wish to pursue this lead?

Buy two Flashs at 50c and a bottle of chloroform for 10c, also get a rag for the sleeping takedown.

Look for the lockpick analog for this age

You purchase the goods. The rag came with the chloroform. For free. Looks like the 'specialty' store knows its customers well.

There are several kinds of locks in this day and age. Mundane locks, disabled through the use of omnipicks or a good ol' fashion screwdriver and pin; tech locks, disabled through use of a UIP link and hacking software; and magical locks. Those are much rarer and can only be dispelled with a scroll of knock.

"Hello, soldier boy~" a seductive female's voice responds to your search query. "Let's see if I can find some, mmh, quality guns for my handsome soldier..." Several Sellsword merchants are listed. The list shrinks as various items are eliminated for incompatibility. "Here's one... 'Albert an' Ani's House of Steel and Lead'. Quite a... mouthful, dont'cha think? You could get a good SMG from them, with the listed modifications, for around 700 credits. If you can do without the mods, I think you can get a Piston R70 for 500. That's the cheapest I got, hon~"

"Naw, naw, man. I'm looking for stuff used in demolition, not anti-personnel thingies. Plastic explosives, you know. Stuff you can make shaped charges with. Plus detonators for that stuff. What kind of price margin am I looking at for things like that?"

Ask!

"You be looking for C4 then? This, I have." He pulls a bin up and tosses a few blocks onto the table. "It is pure make. Military and corporations would try to make as good of make and fail. 500 C for one half pound block. That comes with detonator of choices. Or, if you are cheapskate, you can have some I get from the convoys that pass by. Not as good but get job done. Boloran Industries make for 300 C a half pound block. 100 C for Kaztiro brand crap. Or..." A hint of a smile on the man's scarred face. "You can try out my favourite putty. I call it, blasterbast clay. Very unstable, but very effective. One ounce can take down building, if placed goodly. An ounce for 400 C, block for 3000 C. Here is best part... The detonator is in head!" He taps his skull for effect. "Magically bound to user, cannot fail at any range under 10,000 meters. Very good."

Search for a rental hover-platform thingy. It just has to hover.

There are various autonomous platforms. The most popular and cheapest hover platform is the Myuis Hauler. It's a five foot diameter curved disk that floats three to five feet above the ground and holds up to 500 pounds of material. You control it via remote. The daily rate is 150 C. You also have to pay a collateral of 200 C, refunded on safe return of the device. If it's damaged in any way, however, expect a costly 5000 credit repair or replace fee.

Or you can go cheaper. It doesn't hover, but the Good Dog can carry twice as much as the Hauler, at only 50 C a day. There is no collateral, but the repair fee can vary from 200 C to 1000 C, and replacing the thing costs 2000 C.

(( Is that 450 extra or 450 total? ))

((Total cost for the gun.))

"We hope you will remember the DaGurio brothers, miss," the dirthin says, taking his leave with his 'brother' in tow.

You rent a room at a decent motel and wait for the call.

How high can the first one go?

The Dog stands at three feet tall.

Look for helicopters.

Well, there are quite a few helicopters here in this fine city. There are some at the airport for commercial use, mostly used to ferry people to the oil rigs off the coast. There are the military choppers in the various security corporation headquarters and bases. Helicopters can be found on the roofs of the hospitals, the larger police stations, and some other government buildings. And, of course, the various corporations of the city have their own fleets. You don't know of any civilian owned helicopters, but you're sure the richer folk might own one or two. Kept at private airports, of course.

New plan: Acquire grenades.

You use your various contacts to find the best weapons dealer who offers grenades. Your search brings you to one of the military 'surplus' stores in the area. 'Blay's Place'. You enter to find a gesoon woman at the counter, shielded by a wire mesh. "What'sit you be wantin'? Gun? Sword?" she asks in a rough voice. You see various weapons on the racks behind her. One in particular catches your eye. A B-9000 Plasma Thrower. High explosive plasmatic death to all. It does you good to see such a weapon, perhaps.
