How many are there, and are they all armed?

JECTION PHARM, LEVEL -2
Turgidly attempts to disguise himself as the hostage. With some subtle changes to attire, Turgidly starts to look more and more like the prisoner, perhaps he could pass for the scientist. The decryption still has four minutes top go, so you complete the disguise.

Lokk attempts to move his arm, but the extreme pain dissuades him from that action. The bones are likely melded, so that arm is out of business until you get some surgery done. Still, Lokk-Agar keeps going, spitting on his knife and walking up to the Mothers. The one that was already downed looks dead, but just to make sure Lokk slips the knife into her armour. Moving to the next one, the one he blasted, Lokk is able to finally get a look at what kind of face is hidden beneath the mask, as the full armour helmet was blasted away by the magic. It isn't a pretty sight. Her sunken eyes and grey-brown, wrinkled skin tells you that the Dread Mother basically lived in this armour. Just when he is about to slit her throat, the Mother's eyes open. It only takes her a fraction of a second to leap up and onto Lokk, baring her rotten teeth as she lets out a furious roar. Her dull, yellow eyes stare into Lokk's as she forces him to the ground and pushes her forearm against his neck. Lokk instinctively stabs at her side, but her armour is too thick to be penetrated by wild slashes. He tries to spit, but he already used up the gland poisoning his blade. She puts her full weight down onto Lokk's neck, fully intending to choke the life out of him.

NOOOO! the weapon bellows as the Mother lets out a scream of pain. This gives you the opportunity to push the Mother off you. She rolls to the side and clutches the sides of her head, before falling limp. Lokk notices he is bleeding out of his eyes and ears, and feels a bit nauseous. Shrugging off these feelings, he finishes off the downed Dread Mother and loots her card key. This will get him into the containment area, but is he sure he wants to enter?

JECTION PHARM, LEVEL 1
They're not all there yet, but Armoth expects the remaining four mercs to be here soon. That means there will be eight total.

"Sir, shouldn't we wait for gen sec?"

"If we don't stop them from releasing that item, we'll need a lot more than general security to stop them. As soon as the others get here, we're moving in."

THE CISTERN
Both Bekter and Alexis watch the next round of fights. The matches get closer and closer, as the best of the fighters are further distilled into a small group of 6. Well, it would be 8, but two matches end up with both fighters seriously injured, and the winners are unable to continue fighting in the tourney. As such, the tournament master decides that instead of the traditional one vs one fights, the next round will be comprised of two free for alls between three fighters. A few fighters complain, but the crowd seems to think it's a great idea.

In the next round, Alexis will be fighting Shammy and Rang the Undermining. Shammy is a big guy, but his true strength lies in his defensive style of fighting. This means he has suffered few injuries so far. Rang is a Ramok. Besides the fact that that means he gets free armour via his chitinous plates, he also has a natural aptitude for brawling. He's suffered several injuries so far (a battered face, a cracked plate in his right forearm, a bad right foot), but they haven't slowed him down. Before the fight begins, Shammy approaches Alexis.

"You're a pretty tough bitch. I can respect that. That's why I'm comin' here with a plan. Hows about me and you both team up to take out the Ramok, hm? If we team up and fuck him up, it'll mean me an' you can fight squares. How about it, lass?" the man asks. His square jaw, curly red hair, and foreign accent shows you that he's from the island chain north of here. The Depths are lousy with Islanders, you've noticed. People say Islanders have a strange way about them. Something about bestiality. Or was it incest? Regardless, Islanders aren't well liked on the mainlands.

Bekter (and Alexis) finds the odds are skewed in favour of the woman this round. She's a crowd favourite. As such, the payout is decent. The best odds put her at 2:5, while the worst odds put her at 4:3. The takers are getting more cautious with their odds, but are accepting higher bets. How much would you like to bet this round?

Disguise the Vesuan scientist as myself in vaguely similar process, then burn him with the flamethrower-in-a-can I possess.

When the decryption is done, retrieve necessary data, then fry the mainframe with the modified arc welder. Make sure it is well and truly destroyed. Put comatose monkeys and bird-people on watch for interlopers, have them shoot them as dead as possible if they notice us messing around in here.

Bet all but 500 on myself to win then enter the fight, once the other guy attacks bug boy attack him from behind aiming for the back of the knee on the same leg as his injured foot. (( No armor on the back of the knee. ))

Lokk-Agar took a moment to compose himself before he moved on.  While he was still shaken from his near death encounter, and.... whatever the weapon had done, he would be damned if he backed down now after coming this far.  Wiping the blood off of his face with the back on his hand, he continues onward.

Continue towards the containment area where the sword is located, keeping an eye out for hostiles.  Ready the flame spirit in my mind, just in case.

((Well, I think it's about time to turn this shit up.))

JECTION PHARM, LEVEL 1
The mercenaries all gather up, including one goblin, and prepare to attack. However something of note occurs before they are able to do anything. First off, this happens to Armoth's console. Shortly afterwards, the primary power systems go off, shutting down Armoth's console, and the lights in the room. The mercs hurriedly turn on their flashlights and one of them begins barking orders. The sound of a van screeching to a halt can be heard outside, and the disembarkation of the passengers shortly thereafter.

"Defensive positions!" the merc commander yells, but for some of them it is too late. The sound of assault rifles, and the flash from their muzzles overwhelms the senses as several of the mercs are killed. The mercs get into position and fire back, and so the firefight begins.

JECTION PHARM, LEVEL -2
Turgidly disposes of the scientist after completing his disguise. Then he waits. But it doesn't take long for something to happen. The lights on this flor are already blown out, so he doesn't realize the primary power has been cut, but he does hear the battle raging on the floor above. Not only that, but the console that once said '3:57 REMAINING' counts down extremely quickly. The decryption finishes in seconds, and a face appears on the screen. A smiling face, with the text 'RUN' placed underneath.

A SWAMP?
Lokk finds himself in a swamp. He's not sure how he got here. He was walking down a corridor, began to space out, and now finds himself in some kind of swampy wetland. It's still dark, only the moonlight from the trees cascading through the canopy lights the way. The sound of bugs chittering and amphibians crying compliments the terrible smell.

Lokk can hear a voice, something speaking to him. Not quite as easy as you thought, now is it dear? the mostly female voice says. It's a mix of voices, the voice of your first love, and your first kill. Come find me, Lokk. Find me, and you shall have me.

THE CISTERN
Alexis bets 500 on herself to win, betting with the most profitable odds. Likewise, Bekter bets all 500 of his credits for Alexis to win, with the most profitable odds.

Once in the ring, Alexis finds the rules have changed. "Arms Imperia!" the announcer says, met with much cheer from the audience. With that, people in the stands begin throwing weapons down to the fighters' feet. They're non-lethal... mostly. At Alexis' feet lands a bunched up pair of heavy, black, leather gloves; a set of spiked brass knuckles; and a patch of some sort. The others receive weapons, too. Shammy equips an arm guard, while the ramok chooses not to use any weapons.

Get the decryption thing, then run like hell! Run until I am clear of the building, and hope it blows up for me when it is done.

There are a couple problems with this course of action.

One, only three of your team of five are present. Lokk-Agar went after the weapon, just down the hall, and Armoth is likely in the middle of the firefight. Would you perhaps like to inform them of your plans, at least? It won't look too good on you three if you abandon your allies.

Also, there is a battle going on upstairs, near the staircases, as you soon find out. That seems to be the only way out. Do you wish to charge through?

Examine who seems to be fighting who and with what sort of weaponry. While doing this, quietly radio the others. Also, make sure I've got the lady scientist with me and that the others are standing well away from me, just in case.

"Shit!"

Can I see the attackers with my fake eye? If they look like SuperPop backup, attack the mercs. If they don't; try to stay in cover behind my desk and see which way the fight goes.

Also, draw gun. If there's a downed merc near me and he's got something better than my little pistol, try to nab that.

Flit ducked behind a crate, surveying the scene. She didn't want to get into the middle of that mess...

It was sort of cruel, she thought. They were so close to finishing the mission....but, she couldn't relax now. Not until they were done. Not yet.

Action: Lets wait till they kill each other off, unless it somehow becomes clear they are on our side

((Sorry I haven't posted yet, had some work to finish))

Also, before I post I have a quick question:  Can I still hear the rest of the team on comms wherever I am?  By that I mean do I know about the attack, and the retreat order?
