You can activate or deactivate it at will. When its active you have a chance of striking an ally. You were attacking them deliberately, even when the ability wore off. :L

EDIT: Back to doing real turns. I'll wait for everyone to post before continuing the descent.

I guess we both made too many assumptions. But why would I want you to attack the others in the first place? Its okay anyways. Kyle will just be KO'd temporarily.

Bethany watched the ground approaching with the surety she could escape herself.

But her friends...Derry...she could probably ferry them down to the next island at some point, but there was no guarantee she'd be able to do it without crashing...or do it in time to save everyone...

Action: Analyze distance, time and weight. How many people could I get to the ground safely, though gliding down with them, once the island we're on is a bit lower?

Beth looks over at Derry, then back to the ground, then back to Derry.

He looked...angry. She moved in close to him, and spoke in an odd quiet way she only had for him. She could feel the waves of subdued anger baking off him, but wasn't afraid.

"Hey, what's up Derry? You didn't seem yourself there...why were you so mad at Kyle?"

Derry looked up at Beth, then back down at his hands.
I... I don't know. Kyle is my friend... What is wrong with me? What the hell is wrong with me?

Bethany remembered something her father told her.

"...Magic can be bad or good, but you can use what's inside of you to control it. It's...something changed about yourself, and me, and everybody. I grew wings...and, well, you got something else. It's nothing to be afraid of. I mean, you punched Kyle...I could crash into a tree. We just have to learn how to use it right...and it won't be easy, I guess. Nothing good ever is.

And, I'll help you, okay? You're not alone, Derry." She said, hooking his left hand in her own and looking him in the eye.

Blushing red like a tomato, Derry stared at his feet.

I'm so amused at how everyone's forgotten that Kyle turned back when Alex was walking through him that I'll forget that, too!
I'm a bit annoyed that this stuff seems to happen right after I go to be. This, Twilight Academy, Gods and Mortals, all had big plot thingies related to me happen shortly after I went to bed.

Rush over to Kyle and feed him the liquid from my unidentified flask!

Continue to restrain Derry

You kneel next to Kyle and cradle his head, then part his lips and tilt the open flask over. Nothing comes out. Thats odd, it feels full.. When you try sipping it you drink it just like you would any other flask, but when you try upending it any other than into your own mouth, nothing comes out.

Plan: Take a mouthful, spit it into a bowl. Repeat.


"Um, sorry to interrupt this nice, romantic moment, but it appears that we will strike the larger island at a high rate of speed in a short amount of time. This will cause a massive deceleration which will likely cause this island to lose all structural integrity and us to suffer severe trauma. Does anyone want to see what they can do about it? ...Beth, think you could carry someone? Kyle, think you could turn into something more useful than a puddle?"
