change the setting
To what? I'm not keeping track of which one you're on. Just tell me which letter you're experimenting with.
Well, I was just on F, so the next one would be A.
For the record, I intend to do that with all the settings, one at a time.
You load a bolt into the crossbow, and you see that it suddenly seems incredibly dull, almost like you don't care about it anymore. Overcoming the strange feeling, you fire it into a tree across the grove. It passes right by Beth and Wells' heads, but they don't seem to notice it. Its almost as if they didn't even know you did that. Some kind of stealth shot? It was kind of hard to focus while you were using it, so you're not sure if you'd be too accurate while using it.
You load a bolt while the bow is set to D. The bayonet emerges, but nothing else happens. You take a shot, but the bolt behaves unspectacularly, to your disappointment.
What did you get Bethany?
She proudly displays it-and herself, unconsciously-to Derry. Whom she was rather fond of.
"An awesome bow that never runs out of arrows! Well, the quiver doesn't run out of arrows...
Twang!" She says emphatically, deciding to practice a bit before they moved on.
Action: Practice chip shots at a nearby tree. Try not to shoot any of my friends.
You take three practice shots at a tree thats close by. The first one sails wide, but the next two are solid hits. Take that nature!
You think you hear something whip past your head while you're practicing, but you quickly dismiss the thought. It couldn't have been anything. Must be your brain playing tricks.
