She smiles.

"That's that then. Come on to the kitchen for lunch-I hope you like pickles. My Dad bought a ton on sale and we've been eating them for like a month..."

...

A few hours later, the sun is a red disc slowly lowering into the hazy horizon. Bethany stands looking at the strange, dilapidated windmill...no one knew who built it, who lived there, or how long it had been there. They said it was haunted, of course, though not exactly by what. The arms of the mill still spun creakily in the breeze, completing the spooky look. It had been here as long as anyone could remember.

In truth, she was a bit afraid to have been going in herself.

She was glad Derry came with her.

But where was the other guy?

"...He said he would be here..." She says, looking around.

She looks over at Derry. "So what do you think? It's scary, right? Those windows are like eyes..."

It doesn't look too bad... But the windows definitely look like they're watching us.

[Dwarmin]

"Wonder what we'll find inside, though? My friend told me the last kids who went in all got their bones stole by the Reaperman, but then how did anyone get the story?"

She shivers.

[Gamerlord]

Maybe the Reaperman told someone? Or maybe someone found them after the Reaperman nicked their bones...

[Dwarmin]

"I've never heard the Reaperman was very talkative. Or left many bodies around..."

[Gamerlord]

I thought the Reaperman only stole bones though...

((When he gets back, GUNIN is going to make us fight the Reaperman, I just know it.))

[Dwarmin]

"I think he also steals souls!"

[Gamerlord]

Um... But wouldn't he leave your body then? I mean, he doesn't wear your skin like the Laughing Man, does he?

[Dwarmin]

"Maybe the Reaperman trades empty skins to the Laughing Man to lure stupid children into abandoned windmills?" she suggests helpfully.

[Gamerlord]

So they have some kinda... deal going on? Nasty...

[Dwarmin]

"I bet all evil spirit things are like, friendly with each other. It's like a com...a conspiracy...?"

"E-evil spirits?" Alex...um, performs whatever the equivalent of crossing oneself is in the Island's religion.

Jack shivered.

He felt that somewhere, somebody was speaking of things best left undisturbed.

"Hmm, I don't think I like it up here anymore, maybe I'll get back down and walk around today."
