Attempt to make myself very flat and wide. Maybe I can float down.

No hard feelings from me.

Derry readies himself to jump upwards, to try and negate as much force from the fall as possible.

Jack prepares to use the wind to slow his descent, and possibly steer himself to a safer landing.

Action: When the distance is right, Bethany ferries as many of her friends down to the Earth and drops them in the shallow end of the lake as she can. Uh, don' try to enter the lake myself.

Leave big ol' Derry for last

Alex tries to help the others but probably fails.

EDIT: And none of you can swim. No large bodies of water in your home, thus the idea is somewhat foreign. Say, I'm not quite sure what would happen if Beth fell in. Would her wings keep her afloat, or drown her?

((Though you can imagine I might be biased, I've come to the decision that Bethany's wings would act as flotation devices...for a little while. She's not a duck, but her feathers would repel water and remain buoyant for a time. Eventually the water would seep through and render them dead weight, tho. I'm also assuming her bone structure became alot more avian to account for her wings, which would greatly reduce her total weight.

I'm assuming Derry wouldn't have many problems figuring out how to swim.

I'd still advise flying for as long as possible.

Why?

He's fairly athletic, plus the 'beast mode' might give him a bit of boost. Swimming when you don't know how is pretty much a function of strength and stamina.

It's one thing to swim when you don't know how. It's another thing to learn how to swim. One being easier does not make the other so.

All he needs to be able to do is get to shore.

Bethany began to limber up, knowing her drop off method was a lot safer than for her friends than hurtling off into the sky.

She stretched her legs, then her arms, then her...wings! They extended to full length, and flapped hard enough to kick up a small dust cloud.

"All right, when we get close to the ground I'm going to pick you guys up one by one-take you over to the lake-and drop you in. The shallow end, anyway. Help the others get to shore when I've dropped you off. Find a rope, or a vine or something-and something that floats, like a log. We might have to rescue me or somebody that gets dropped in the deeper part of the lake.

If you've got anything really heavy with you, I'd suggest you leave it behind here. Otherwise we might crash. I don't wanna crash, okay?"

She turned to Derry then, her wings fluttering slightly.

"Hey, this might be tough, but I need to save you for last. You're the biggest guy among us, and I can't risk everyone on the chance we might not make the flight together, even when I'm still fresh. Do you understand?" She asked, her thoughts skewing back and forth. Yes, she could save Derry *first*, but what if they took a header into the lake? Then...

In truth, Bethany wasn't sure she was going to get even half of them down safely.

((Action: I'll use my planning bonus skill for anyone that tries to find floatable stuff once they are on the ground. Listen to my orders! :D ))
