Bethany looks up, watching Derry pause before open his. Waiting till she opened hers?

She supposed he was waiting to see if she exploded, or got turned into a cat, or something...

"Whatcha waiting for Derry?" She said, watching his face closely with a grin on her own, the lights in her eyes dancing merrily. "Let's open ours at the same time." Bethany concluded, using her 'leadership' voice.

"You mean forever? I'm going to be Queen of the skies one day, you know." She said, querying him with an amused side glance. Bethany was watching Derry very closely now. Something was certainly happening, on an instinctual level.

There was at that moment, the slightest metallic creaking noise from the pair of russet-wings currently folded on her back, and under her cloak-coat...which usually meant she had straightened or tensed up her back muscles, in response to something someone said.

Derry puffed up his chest and grinned at Bethany, showing every single one of his teeth.
You may be Queen of the Skies one day, but I'm gonna be the Hunter King. And remember, At this Derry winked, You're going to have to land sometime. Me? I'm never gonna be away from my kingdom.
Derry shrugged his shoulders, looking at his 'gift'.

Bethany rolls her eyes in a casual motion, flipping her hair at the same time.

"And what would that leave for adventure, staying in a tiny Kingdom? The whole sky is mine, I can go wherever I want..." She said, in a soft and teasing tone, before turning to her own present.

((Anyway, I'm halting my own RP so Guin can get the turn out without feeling he's interrupting anything. So no more responses on my end aside from this. :P ))
