((I'm just kidding with you, Aseaheru.

Also: my character's name is almost the same as the username of who posted over me. Now I feel like as if I have stolen the name))

Just in case you guys(the players) aren't following the OOC thread I've put character drawings there and a proposed start.

It's the Year 3201G. Glean, the Tknunanai Homeworld fell to Grak invasion 6 galactic years ago on the 50th day. It was 3 Galactic years ago when Kreaiwel and Kaianee's battalion was disbanded following a failed attempt to retake Glean. Since then they've wandered the neutral Enan territories doing odd jobs in an attempt to raise funds to support the failing Tknunanai war effort. They are now resting at one of the tables in Rag's Drinks before they decide their next move.

Charles and Ka'shiik are sharing yet another drink. Unemployed but still having more then enough money for drinks is a state they have been enjoying for a few days now. There aren't any ships with any positions open scheduled to leave for a few days so they appear to be stuck where they are for a while now, at the bar in Rag's Drinks. Ka'shiik hears the other two patrons at the bar talking about needing a crew...

Asgarus has a pile of cash and no client to be found. There aren't any outbound ships on the official schedule and he wants to get off this station and disappear in case this situation gets hot. He's just wandered into a bar, Rag's drinks it's called. There are only 4 other people in the establishment not counting the barkeep, but she's asleep. It sounds like the two Tknunanai at the table are talking about getting a ship...

Rag's Drinks is an establishment aboard The Jewel of Rose, a space station which is in orbit around the planet Rose. Rose is a border Enan world and one of the few actually being controlled by the official government(Ragno Gov), a fact they love to advertise.

The Jewel of rose is the focus of official traffic around the planet and it's identical sister station, The Prize of Rose is the focus of... less official traffic, unofficially of course. Unofficially the hub of unofficial business. It's where you find smugglers, pirates and other scum is what i'm trying to say. Of course you didn't hear this from me.

The local shipyards are well developed and are where the Ragno Gov ships are produced. The fact that they are large shipyards and that this is a border world means that the private yards to a lot of business to clients who fall outside of the jurisdiction of interstellar governments.

There are regular shuttles taking passengers between the stations and planet's capital: Ar-enk. Shuttles to the capital have a fee of 250 Enan Credits but going from station to station is a free service. Scattered around are information terminals listing businesses but if you want to find something a bit less official you'll have to look around.

Now you guys can RP your way to friendship!
I'm going to start sending PMs with your inventories as soon as I can (I figure you guys should be able to keep your finances secret). I'll put up another picture of your characters once I've got the PM's done. Not much different just exposed fins and Asgarus gets a headset too.

EDIT:
I forgot to explain some things. All money is almost equal in value and exchange rates vary from planet to planet. The Tknunanai Chip is an exception because it belongs to a species that just lost it's entire production base so it's pretty much worthless. Also I forgot to make clear what was currency in the PMs I sent (oops).
There are:
Coalition Bux
Ragenek Slices
Grak Shards
Tknunanai Chips
Enan Credits

G is galactic standard years. there are 100 'days' in each year.

I might make inventories (excluding cash) public in the character post once you are all on a ship together. Unless you want to keep something concealed of course.

It's useless. Except for the whole smuggling and pirating thing, there is no job worth this name on this bloody planet. And without ship, these are out as well. Unless we serve as crew, but I don't want to end up in a ship attacking Tkunanais. Conclusion, we need a ship. But I doubt we can afford a decent one with what we have. How much does these things cost around here anyway?

"So what do you wanna do? I am thinking of getting a ship and getting somewhere to mine or scavenge, but we would need people and I dont think I have enough money for a ship thats not worse off than most scavenge."

"Yeah, mining/scavenge sounds good. We may not even need a crew with a good enough ship, with AI and stuff. Unfortunately a piece of garbage is probably all we can afford. A shame."

Mining is not a good alternative. The best spots are already claimed, and there are always conflicts between the companies. You'd better claim a mine if you can defend it. But scavenging is different, you just need a conflict where you and preferably your race are neutral and a ship with enough speed to get to the debris before the competence and you are done. And, more importantly, you can always "create" a space wreckage if you want. A small and fast ship shouldn't cost much.

""Fast" is expensive. And small means we cant hold much. As for mining, there are often rich places big companies ignore due to small quantities."

And those small places are far away from civilization. That means that you are going to be on our own if you attempt that. And in a situation like that is when you will be more vulnerable. A malfunction can leave you helpless in the middle of nowhere. Not to mention space pirates
