King is alive, but no longer listed in the Nobles screen

My current fortress is in the midst of a tantrum spiral.  While going through the nobles screen, I noticed the king was no longer listed.

I thought he died from all the fighting, but he's still alive.

The fortress is still considered the Mountainhome, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Anyone have anything similar happen?  Was the king's position later reinstated on the nobles screen?

Wasn't there a bug that caused nobility positions to disappear under certain circumstances?

There was: 0006203: Baron got possessed, diplomat raising the status of my lands left, noble position disappeared.

Did your king get a mood, perhaps?

Is the king still in possession of his mental capacities? Nobles who go mad lose their title, afaik.

However, they generally revert to their 'non-noble' title, i.e. peasant or pump operator or somesuch. It might be different with dwarfs who go bonkers while under military orders, the position in the unit list and coloration suggest he's currently rated as wrestler or recruit (can't keep those apart).

Check the king's thoughts/current occupation description. _Something_ must have happened to him, king rank doesn't spontaneously disappear, and it's generally irreversible. Mountainhome status is granted permanently by receiving the monarch, the status will survive the death of the crown.

He just died of thirst, so I bet he was struck by meloncholy :(.
