How do you read the campagign file? I'm just getting nonsense when I try.

Are you using maptool like was instructed multiple times?
Error: Unable to access jarfile maptool-*.jar

I tried googling, but the fix fail.

Look for the file that says 'maptool-1.3.b89' that is an Executable Jar File, and use that, works just fine then.

Exactly. The launcher stopped working in the last couple builds, but they can't fix it because of the way java updated (or something like that). Just use the *.jar file and you should be fine.

And if you can't open the .jar file?
Do you say this because you can't or because you thought scapheap couldn't?

Do you have Java on your machine, the java virtual machine that is? I don't believe it will run without it.

The Maptools download page has a link to the Java website. They also have a button on that page to confirm whether or not you have Java on your machine, and if so what version.

Plot-ness has happened! I leave you all with a "what will you do" option here, that will influence the plot at some indeterminate future point. Kill the Templar plus Random Guard #1 and Random Guard #2, or ignore them and move on?

Remember, the guy can probably hear you speak. Have fun miming in text.  :P
If you guys don't decide to go attack this Templar you don't know and can easily sneak past, I'll have Valmafula Balmafula lead the party onwards during the next update, which should be in... uh... about 19 hours? 20? Something like that. Tomorrow evening.

GWG, have you got Maptools working yet?

EDIT: I just now realized I've been sometimes spelling Balmafula with a V instead of a B. Damn you, inconsistent naming between games! (her name is Valmafra in the remake for the PSP. I'm trying to use the original PS1 names for things, mostly, but... gah.) Went back and changed it. Her name is Balmafula. At least, it is here.

Waitlist, please! :3

Name: Jixiu
Birthday: November 19
Stats: 30 HP
         24 MP
         8 Strength
         7 Wisdom
         5 Speed

Jixiu is about average height for a human. He appears to be in his early 20s, although it's hard tosay for sure. His black hair is about medium length, wild, and very unkempt. His intense green eyes seem to twinkle wheever he gets an idea. The people from his hometown learned to dread that twinkle. It usually meant that hard questions or explosions would soon follow. Jixiu is extremely eccentric and curious, as well as being rather smart. He loves to solve problems, to take things apart to see just what exactly makes them tick. He also enjoys putting them back together again, just... not exactly the same way. Jixiu acts like a mad scientist, so perhaps it is only natural that he dresses like one. His white labcoat((he made it himself, you know)) is several sizes too big for him, and he constantly has to re-adjust the sleeves so that they don't cover his hands. For all of his eccentricities, however, Jixiu was quiet charming. The town he lived in was small, so small that it wasn't even labelled on the map. Too small, in the eyes of one whose curiosity simply couldn't be sated. Yes, Jixiu was happy and yes, he loved his family and friends but...
There was nothing left to learn. Jixiu was absolutely, utterly bored. There was nothing left to do that he hadn't done before except....
Actually, that just might be it! Jixiu said his goodbyes, packed his bags full of all the little odds and ends he had lying around, and set off to explore the world.
Fame? Nah.
Fortune? Who needed it?
Jixiu was doing this for fun.

If it's not too much to ask, could you please put a visible waitlist somewhere? :3 This looks like fun.((Thank you, Captain You've-Said-This-Already))

Fine...

I'm working on the next In-Character post now. There's gonna be an actual fight, finally!  :o

Also, @Heath: Balmafula is not currently with you. She opened the barrier for you, time-stopped the Templar, and ran away back into the Library. Supposedly, her Astrologer-fu is strong enough to get her out of a building with three knights and lots of hiding places.

As for whether the Templar can open the barrier... You don't know, but I do  :P

I should note... the Leather Armors are classified as "heavy armor", and thus the only way to equip them in this fight is to switch to Squire. The Leather Helmets are similarly categorized ("helmets" as opposed to "hats"), so the only way to equip those is to be a Squire or Gregory's Unique class.

By the way, the OP has been updated with some combat tutorial stuff. If you don't live in my head and know exactly how the game works ( :P), you should read it.
