Right, now to binge read everything in this campaign file to be up to speed and hopefully cut down on stupid questions I'll undoubtedly ask.
Take your time, do you have any idea how difficult it is to come up with excuses for new characters to show up in millenia-abandoned cities?  :P
I'll probably have Olan introduce you to the group next time you meet him, assuming the group bothers to go talk to him.

Well, I can toss a few haphazard ideas out there if you'd like but I don't know what you have planned nor a good chunk of detail about said abandoned city so they'd be, like said, haphazard. A wait won't bother me, so introduce him when you feel is right or proper.

Question: What is the difference between a primary job and a secondary job? I've not understood that and I don't believe I've found anything relating to that in the campaign notes.

The primary job determines:
 - What equips you can use
 - One of your two ability lists
 - Which class will get JP at the end of combat
 - Your stat growth if you level up

The secondary determines:
 - The second of your ability lists and nothing else

If I was a black mage with squire skills as a secondary I wouldn't be able to equip heavy armor for example.

Ah, I see. So its basically access to an additional list of abilities one could use and little more then, thanks for clearing that up. I assure you it is just the beginning of a long list of stupid questions though.

As one of my teacher said, there are no stupid questions. FFT is a odd game for almost anyone started it.

IMO any question not intended to make someone learn something is a stupid question. With that said, if you don't understand something about what you're doing, asking a question about it is never a stupid question.

Hm, I do have another I suppose, something I've been wondering.

Lets say that you are fighting an opponent face to face, each of you next to each other and facing the other. Is it possible to move behind said opponent and strike, gaining the bonuses associated with this, or would their positioning pivot with you moving around them so as to not present their back to an obvious opponent?

As long as you have at least 5 Spd (4 to move and one to strike), you can back-attack someone who's focusing solely on you, yes.
Assuming the terrain and the other enemies aren't in your way, of course.

I'm leaving on a 5-day camping trip on Sunday morning; the game will be on hiatus from Saturday evening until Thursday evening. The game will resume on Friday next week.

In other news, I've been writing up some more Lore for the game. I'm probably going to need to write up character summaries for Ramza and Alma Beoulve at some point, and probably Thunder God Cid, but for now I've added lore for the legend of the Zodiac Braves (so that those of you who haven't played FFT can figure out what the hells Ramza is talking about in his note  :P) and, finally, the Ecology of Murond lore.

I'm curious to see what you guys do when you leave the ship. Depending on how things play out, you may end up avoiding The Plot Twist Of Shork-Douchery completely, which will cause some silliness when you talk to people later  :P

Guys? We have to dodge that plot point. It's always hilarious when the NPCs are rambling about things we don't know what mean- and if they get too crazy, we can always gank them!

Also, "seaworthy".  :P If only you knew...

What I do is have no idea what's going on...

Basically you've found an airship, one of the passenger ships (as seen in Final Fantasy XII. It's even with the same airline!). It had a repair drone onboard, and when Kyle activated said drone, it went to fetch its repair drone buddies and some supplies (both of which are stored in a nearby warehouse, because docks are just convenient like that), and fixed the airship. Congratulations! Now if only you could find that thing that is totally in the city that allows you to leave using the airship.

Or you could leave some other way and come back for it later, or you could completely ignore that you have an airship. There's more than one way out of the city, after all, and some are funnier than others  8)

Kyle pockets the stone and spider.
"I'm going to name him Garry."
I... don't think I actually mentioned, these spiders are like 2 feet tall. They're basically Dwemer Spiders, from Skyrim.
The hell of it is, this fact doesn't prevent you from pocketing him  :P
