Editing races again.

Honestly you should just give it a few days after this. No point in editing races over and over till its done. I will commit to stop messing with the races once the final tabled form is complete. So tomorrow probs. Gotta decide how flexible I want races to be.

Bah, unfortunately I am having trouble easily modeling special abilities using the database. So that might delay game start a bit. The majority of the races can currently fit in the races table, but a few of them I am still working out. The game should be on track to start on the 12th. I would ideally like some more sign ups and I need time to figure out how to create the hex map for the world.

I've decided to remove bonuses to vassalization, vision, concealment, and foment rebellion due to implementation difficulties. I think it may be more effective to start with a simpler game and see what the failures and successes are first.

Does Hexographer work? You could then use something with layers, like Paint.net, to add city sprites and draw a transparent colored territory overlay and/or colored borders.

The map needs to be interactive. Which means manipulated by PHP. I've read a few hex map implementations.

I've already made my own world maps using squares for a previous project.

It appears that the spying stat has not been recorded properly in the database. That is why they seem underpowered. All races have a 1.00 for some reason.

It appears that I had been setting it to 1 if there was no value in the 11th stat, spying being the 21st. Annoying typo. I will add it manually for current races and it should be resolved for future ones.

Problem should be resolved now, tell me if anything else seems unbalanced.

Mages are overpriced and/or understatted.

Mages are overpriced and/or understatted.

It appears something has gone wrong with some other stats. Mages should have 2 in all magic/forging stuff. Plus like income or something. I will check kobolds. I think I was using deep elves wrong. I might re add them as a seafaring race.

Also gotta add Krakens and Leviathans to replace some ships. I think maybe whales for destroyers so you can get all animals.

Dark Elves are kinda underground, and some deep elves are sea elves. So I wasn't sure what to do with them.

Anyways current races should all be fixed.

Just a note, as the game goes on, there are certain factors that might involve the generation of short but intense story arcs. Various events will fire. This will be part of the program and not something I manually enable.
