Organization: Fire rocks lumps of flaming tar from miniature trebuchets into the sandcastles.

Results of the Great Sandcastle Extravaganza!

GreatWyrmGold - Build   5 -- GreatWyrmGold's contest is an amazing success. The press laudes it as the world's first great multi-colony festival and much praise is heaped upon the organizers. People will be talking about it for years to come!
GreatWyrmGold - Org   4 -- The Destruction contest is considered a great success as well, though given slightly less attention as it is viewed as the wrap-up to the overall festival.
   
Kashyyk - Build   1 -- Sadly, Kashyyk's team was foiled when a lazy team member tried to use a hose to quickly provide water for the sand molding. The hose got out of control and the entire team's work was destroyed with not enough time to recover before the judging.
Kashyyk - Org   3 -- The picket worked well enough for a while, but there just weren't enough people to hold back the destruction for long.
   
PyroDesu - Build   4 -- Good solid trebuchets were built.
PyroDesu - Org   4 -- Well built trebuchets were then used to great effect, winning PyroDesu the Destruction contest!
   
Toaster - Build   2 -- The Sand Barad-Dur is marveled over by those with knowledge of 20th century Earth culture.
Toaster - Org   3 -- While some very nice rings were made and passed out to the other players as gifts, Toaster lacks the dark magic necessary to turn anyone into a Sandwraith.

Does a building use more than one food if it's staffed by more than one person?

Yes, each person requires a food.

In addition, buildings can be partially activated. So a Prison with 2 criminals could be given just 1 Food to get 2 Wealth rather than 2 Food to get 4 Wealth if desired.
