Basically, you choose if you and Scelly are going to rob a stagecoach, or if Scelly and scap are ranch hands with something to do with the Commercial Bank.

Phase 2

Allright, it's character creation time! You should have an idea by now who your character is. I'll give you some time to discuss your relationships with your respective counterparts, and when you feel confident you've reached mutual understanding, describe your character to us!

This shouldn't be a full bio - a few lines is more than enough. Be sure to give your character a name - nothing too silly - so we can refer to them easily. I would like you to detail the relationships in these descriptions - Scelly9 already mentioned the bank might be the business he and Ghazkull are going to rob, but we don't know what the rifle is doing yet, or why ranch hands are connected to the bank, or why the deputy wants to get even with the sherrif.

One more thing: Needs should benefit both characters in a relationship. For instance, either the former lovers both want to get rich, or one of them will benefit from the other getting rich. Similarly, the sherrif apparently wants someone to get even with him - maybe to stop them from threatening his family? Maybe because he feels guilty? I'm sure you're creative enough.

I think 48 hours should suffice for this phase. Feel free to use this topic for discussion, but if you do, please mark your final description posts clearly. Put "description" in big letters above it or something. If everyone is ready, we'll then go on to phase 3, which will be the actual storytelling.

I was thinking that perhaps the rifle is something that the bank robbers--who seem to be the sheriff and someone associated with the bank, hm--needed to rob the bank.

Yeah, that could also work. Hm. This is tougher than it seems.

Or, the rifle could be used by GWG during the robbery to shoot the sheriff for revenge, totally screwing us.
