I already do live a double life. Nerd-Adventurer. If I tell my (nerd-)friends at home about mountaineering, sharks and crocodiles, military dictatorships and cycling in the desert, they look at me like I am some kind of alien. Same thing happens when I try to explain DwarfFortress/Starcraft or why I read Fantasy/SciFi to backpackers and beach/partygoers in a Hostel. Again, no comprehension what so ever.

Hahaha well my hobbies are mostly computer related (most of ym friends are nerds like that too hehe), the only sport I do is swimming, and I don't know too many people who share that interest :)

Besides i had a mood today and started working on a tiny modding project of my own. More might follow.

Nope, not a turkey but I guess the sprite kinda looks like one now that you mention it and as hard as I try I can't seem to unsee it so that fact goes into the description. Anyway I am progressing slowly towards having a finished creature but need to finish some details and do some balancing. Also did some more work on the sprites but there is only so much I can do as this is my first try at making them. This is also my first serious try at modding this game so have a few issues to work out. Mainly interactions and syndromes.

Anyway, here's the preliminary description:

I would make it trainable for hunting at best, not war... I can't imagine a giant turkey killing my dwarves as they run about blinded :P

I actually intended it as a defensive mechanism, blinds things that try to hunt it which makes the hunter a terrible marksman. Might also prevent an ambush of goblins on 10 drowspiders from turning everything into a 2 month clusterfuck of a battle by blinding them before they can start webbing everything.

In general it isn't meant to be able to hold its own very good in a fight but rather work as a specialized support for your charging militia while also being useful for your leather industry.

I've been looking through some of the creature descriptions, and I noticed that the Metal Colossus, for a megabeast, has a pretty short description, so I came up with a new one. Replace [material] with whatever the colossus is made of.
"An enormous animated statue made of [material]. It is powered by its hatred of all living things."

Associations are generated on a per-creature basis based on sphere, so that description could cause some awkardness.
