Hi

My name is Szymon, and I'm the owner of INTERMARUM - a game development studio based in Opole, Poland.

I'm writing to you as we've just started crowdfunding campaign for our new game called Race To Mars, which production began a few months ago. The Race To Mars is a turn based space company manager. The player takes the role of the CEO of the space industry company in 2013.

Space programs and researches undertaken by the player's company are intended to finally lead mankind to Mars. The game can be described as a successor of 'Buzz Aldrin: Race Into Space', with a lower difficulty level and greater availability for the casual player, but also hardcore gamer.

ank - no, the game will feature only singleplayer, competing with other companies controlled by AI. We don't feel confident enough to tackle multiplayer now, but it might be done for some DLC.

hemmingjay - i'd say about 25%. We have a lot of work done in the context of the main scene and toolwork. We would like to reach Alpha about 2 weeks after the KickStarter drive, Beta would follow in 3-4 months time.

I love the concept. I've always wanted more games where you are in control of actually getting to space rather than already starting there!

I understand it's too late to address at this point, but KS campaigns generally do much much better when there is a playable alpha or even a suitable tech demo. If you expect to have one so soon after the KS why wouldn't you have just waited to start until you had more to show? It's a bit baffling.
