Nope, you can't continue after the ending. You can only load the previous savegame I guess.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

wow! this game is awsome!

pirated it, because i was suspicious it sucked, and failed to leave my chair for 30 hours straight.
installing steam version now, its a higher version too. im a bit scared they fixed to many bugs meanwhile and made the game to easy.
but its a very small fear. after all they added addidtional even harder game modes.

anyway, jep, it needs polishing, its quite buggy, its a bit confusing at first and i think it maybe could use some progression rebalance. still its tons of fun already as it is and i highly recomend it.

its quite pricy for an indi game. much worth it tho, especially as its such  a small developer.

Stealth is just awful (as there don't seem to be any indicators for cone of vision or sound) and the world itself seems completely flat, lifeless and buggy (cars constantly jammed up, NPCs just wandering in silly patterns and so forth). The action isn't very satisfying either, with the tactics being pretty straightforward and just a simple 'cover or no cover' system - no flanking, no low/high cover or anything like that.

It just doesn't feel fleshed out or well put together, and they're going to need to do a lot to pull it around in my opinion.

I've only played it for a few hours, and hoped that it'd get a lot deeper as time went on, but it just seems like a really basic real time tactics game which happens to all be on one map.

While I haven't played the release version, I don't necessarily disagree with all that. Those were my impressions first starting out. But I dunno, once I got underway and saw more of the starting zone, started trying to actually get in to restricted areas, the game seemed to come alive. Stealth isn't all that fleshed out, it's much more organic seeming. No sight cones, etc...I think all the pieces of the game are there, they're just not a) functioning perfectly like traffic and b) there's not a ton of UI to support them.

At the moment, stealth is just terrible, as it seems completely random if they hear/see me or not. Randomness is absolutely the most annoying thing for stealth play, especially as this game seems to be focussed on it pretty heavily. I'm going to persevere but as of an hour in I'm pretty unimpressed.

I don't know about stealth being that broken. In my experience it was pretty easy to determine how to properly sneak by dudes. If they aren't facing you they don't know you're there. When a guard reaches the end of their patrol they seem to look around in place, if their head pivots in your direction they'll be alerted. Also when you're moving between cover, if you try to sprint it'll pull you out of the "ducked" position and expose you. I'm not sure why it seems random to you whether or not you're detected.

There are a lot of rough bugs though, for sure. Even with the latest version I've had people fall through the world (luckily they have a fail-safe programmed in for that), get stuck on a z-level, get stuck inside buildings, etc. Half of the hostile turrets I encounter don't react to my group, hacking them never results in them firing on enemies, I thought that was addressed already?

The difficulty curve seems a little wonky too. Like someone mentioned earlier, in the beginning you have to rely on careful tactics to pull anything off. But by the second district on it hardly matters what you do. You've got so many things unlocked that you can just go in, spam all of your shit and kill everyone. Or hijack everyone. Why even bother hacking terminals for doors when you can perma-hijack a guard or drone and keep them with your group as a door opener, or leave them by the door you need unlocked?

Another thing, the infiltrator seems to trivialize everything. I stuck a proxy hacker on mine and got a fast moving clone. There are very few operations that my infiltrator can't solo (and I'm only at the beginning of the third district). Cloak between cover, hack everything, use a silenced weapon to one shot guards, use the sword to one shot drones. Snipe cameras from location A, immediately cloak and run to position B, watch as the entire compound runs to position A. It's novel the first few times but it gets boring, I have to force myself to bring the other three along in order to spice things up. In the end I just got bored doing the same things over and over again.

I think they added mission parameters where you need to have two + people activate a switch at the same time, pretty much to counter act that problem.

Otherwise, repetitive does kind of describe the bulk of the content. The base layout and patrol patterns may change per area but not much else does. I was kind of disappointed that most of the advanced things you might do as part of a mission are reduced down to walking into a doorway somewhere.

In some ways the game reminds me Ubisoft games, where there's a large world, environmental detail and lots of systems...but the actual activities you can do are pretty circumscribed. Content in Assassin's Creed games for example are a lot of points of interest you need to visit to start missions, collect money, climb buildings and so on. Satellite Reign seems to be a big map with doors to walk through (situated inside large compounds with all the aforementioned security and cameras), terminals to hack and beacons to activate. There's not a lot of truly innovative scripting or variety in the activities you do. (Move, get in cover, shoot, activate abilities, hack terminals, avoid being seen.)

Personally, I enjoy Ubisoft games but it takes me a very long time to complete them, as I'll play 4 to 6 hours every couple of months to whittle down the mass 'o content. So I don't think it's for everyone. I enjoyed manipulating the AI, seeing what I could get away with, and getting new gear to research and buy. That plus the visuals was enough to get me to complete the entire first area back in Early Access. I'll be heading back to it soon to start a fresh game.

Finally got around to trying the release version.

And one thing I noticed....you get XP just for standing around in restricted areas now. I suppose it's there to reward being stealthy vs. shooting the crap out of everything. I must have made 10 levels just doing the Wyvern Storage Facility mission.

I finished Downtown this weekend and already have taken a good bite out of the Grid. The game seemed tougher starting out than I remember. But now that I've got laser weapons and grenades, well.....the world is my oyster.

Also, every helmeted or armored fighter I hijack and send back for cloning seems to be female. My clone list is seriously 95% female now....apparently in the dank tech-future of this world, all professional security are women.

As an aside, the last thing I did last night turned out to be kind of lulzy. I was checking out the Dracogenics Guard Station in the grid. It's a tiny little compound, smaller even than the one in Downtown even. But it was loaded with guys. There must have been 8 units there. Commanders, Hammerheads, drones. I was sitting there wondering how I was going to breach the compound when....a squad of Eternals happened to walk through the main doors of the compound. Apparently everyone shares the same access codes :P Cue a massive fire fight touching off. Over half the guards in the compound run out the front doors into the streets and being shooting each other. So I walk in, almost completely unopposed, to take the two objectives in the compound.

While the game may not have a super detailed sandbox or a ton of variety in the activities you do, I will say, the moment to moment game play and strategy really is fun for me. Every once in a while you pull off something that you tell yourself shouldn't have been possible.

So apparently their next big thing after release is....coop multiplayer.

If so, that significantly raises this game's fun potential by a good margin. There's a lot of coordinating you'd need to do with another person and it might make it easier to actually play the game as a spread out team instead of as a pack of guys who rarely leave each other's sides.

OMG this thing is a ton of fun.  I got it on the Humble sale yesterday, and it has been more than worth it just walking around the first district.

This does cyberpunk RIGHT, a proper Syndicate successor.  There are some things that are difficult or fiddley or not quite polished, but the experience overall is AWESOME.

Tons of lore, side missions, optional objectives, stealth options, bribery options, hacking options, assassinate, or just go in guns blazing.  This is great fun.

4P Coop Multi was supposed to be out in Feb and still isnt, but they keep developing and patching.  I think you can get it via the beta branch, but I have not tried that yet.

Alright, what I said about parts lacking polish was absolute bullshit.  I was brainwashed by some negative reviews and public opinion, but that isn't true at all.

This game SHINES.

I feel like I'm playing the sequel to Syndicate that was never made, if SW had been a little less science-fantasy and a little more gritty cyberpunk.  The slowly unfolding narrative is well written and really draws me in.  The dubious morality of your employer feels just like the ruthless things that Eurocorp used to ask you to do in the original game. 

The minigame of abducting people and optimizing your stats is as fun as you want it to be.  You can obsess over it, or totally ignore it.

Stealth is as important as you want it to be.  You can sneak everywhere, in really interesting and dynamic ways.  You can set factions against each other by instigating firefights between their squads, and use it as a diversion..

Pathing is pretty good, as far as these things go.  I wish there was a "return fire" or "hold your fire" setting, but you do have to micromanage if you want your guys to put their guns away and run, or stay and fight.  It would be nice to have a "kill anything you see" option, like you could set your agents' aggressiveness and awareness in the original game. 

You do have to micromanage your targets a bit, but using the game mode that starts you with the fully upgraded support boots gets you fairly close to RTWP, so that is pretty good.

I really do like the non-leathal surrender option, where if things have not gotten too bad and you don't have guns out, you can get away with just being escorted off site, fined, and kicked in the ribs.
