Yolantha sighs. This was certainly the most predictable turn of events so far, nonsensical as it may be.

"May I ask how far does the exile extend? Outside your lands entirely, outside the city, on a specific island, what?"

"In addition, I am rather curious as to when the council came to such a ruling. How many of them are still alive, anyway? More than one half?"

"Might I ask why we are exiled? You cannot exile an innocent man."

"That what I said, but they said and I quote 'Things like those wait for your back to be turned, we should take their heads off before they do it to us, but no, your damn bleeding heart says we can't so we'll uses the punishment that you have no say in.' The only reason that guy still breathing right now is because he own half the city in favors."

"And what of my estates? My assets?"

"They would fall under your next of kin, but you don't have that..." he thinks "...best name someone now you can trust and I'll make it official."

Yolantha sighs. This was certainly the most predictable turn of events so far, nonsensical as it may be.

"On paper, the country, but I know a loophole that means only within slight of the city. 18 in total, we lost Lord Gean the day before the attack, heart attack I'm told and Jeune Lights died in the fight. They were the more leveled headed members and without them, the council just a little more to handle."

I assume the city already knows what we are and that we are exiled?

William thinks for a few moments, deciding on the matter of inheritance. Perhaps he could forge a few more papers? Possible, though it would have to be in another nation. Returning to the old days was out of the question, it was simply not worth the risk, though by his estimation, the exile should be lifted if they end up eliminating this "Entropy" threat. Grudgingly, he mentally conceded that judging by the states of the other five people, he'd likely have to.
"Well, this will seem like a rather odd choice, but I don't really trust people when it comes to wealth. So I figured, I'll leave you my wealth and assets. After all, you would be the least likely person to steal it."

"Your council sounds like a whole lot of drooling incompetents, if you don't mind me saying so, Your Highness. And their authority seems somewhat tenuous, considering that it's been scarcely a day since the demonic invasion. This sounds like a decision that has been made rashly, without any form of consideration or anything resembling proper parliamentary procedure. As such, it deserves substantial questioning and reevaluation."

"In addition, yesterday's happenings definitely constitute a massed assault on Your Highness' castle, which most certainly is a declaration of war and, as such, makes it entirely appropriate to declare a state of national emergency and momentarily suspend or delay the council's workings."

"Finally, has Your Highness no authority or veto power over the council? It seems perfectly logical that Your Highness would have such a right, yes?"

Invoke procedure and law to defeat vastly illogical actions!

"Not yet, but by noon, the word will be put out and I agree with you Kyle, but the king hasn't had absolute power for 6 generations now. Anyway, I think now it the time for action over grumbling over the past."

"After the rule of the mad king James, I trust you lot don't need reminding of his crimes, the king's power has been weakened a lot, but I did use my powers to the fullest. There was a lot worse on the table you don't want to know about. As for a declaration of war, we are still sorting out all the clues and thus the council, using one of their powers, forced a meeting before I am allow to make such a choice."

"Thank you my liege."

"So I suppose I should get my stuff and get out now? Or is there something I am needed for before that?"

"I think that the council can shove its ruling right up their bums."

"I second the notion, if not the wording..."

"Well, Your Highness certainly doesn't seem like the insane criminal type, so perhaps we may renew the absolute power of the rightful king? I believe such a thing might be entirely possible with our current resources. After all, a corrupt council serves no interests but their own, and least of all the nation's, no matter their popularity. And a bit of absolute power is certainly what we need in these trying times, no?"

"But, in the event that we comply with the council's decision, how soon are we to leave?"
