Kyle bows to the queen.
"I must take my leave mi'lady, I have guard duty for the party tonight and the captain will be sure to give me hell if I''m late. Unless of course you need anything."
Kyle waits until he is dismissed or given a different order from the queen.

Before opening her bag, Yolantha curtseys before the Queen and the guard.

"Greetings. I am Yolantha Erskile and I will be your physician today, Your Majesty. Firstly, may I ask what the exact problem is?"

After diagnosing the flu, and prescribing appropriate medication, give advice to the queen.

"I would also advise more fresh air and walks when you get well, Your Majesty. Fresh air does wonders for the immune system. Now, is there anything more that you might wish for, Your Majesty?"

Aria stands near to the armoury entrance, pondering what to do next. She already knows most of the palace like the back of her hand, and most of the people in it that bothered to talk to a craftsman's daughter. Tapping her foot in boredom, she decides that the best thing to do, to make her time spent at the all to familiar palace shorter, would be to help with the unloading.

Aria approaches the quartermaster.

Sir, would you mind if I helped with the unloading? I would prefer to get home soon. the Raods are dangerous and i want to be home before nightfall.

Try to aide the guardsmen and quartermaster by helping unload the arms and armour.

William changes into his formal clothes and unlocks the drawer, he takes out the misericorde, a memento of one of his past endeavors. Nothing incriminating of course, the original misericorde he stole from that armory was destroyed long ago to cover his tracks, but he recorded the design and later had a few replicas made. Sheathing it carefully he walked out and headed to the King's party. If he sees any officials, he declare his weapon of course though he had a feeling at least a few people would already know exactly what he's brought.

Mahriana brushes off any unseemly dust from her dress, looking around to make sure noone saw her rather unorthodox entrance. Then she checked the hand-mirror she always carried with her to be sure her hair and face were up to par; her living was totally dependent on her appearance. Finally, she plastered on her best 'empty-headed beauty' smile, and headed for the main hall. On her way, she took note of the various people also at the party, looking for potential targets and difficulties. She was clinging a bit much, possibly a fellow con...he was gay, though extravagant enough that if he hadn't been...he was loyal to his wife, as a friend had found the hard way...not many good ones. She'd heard tell of a royal guard who was as yet unaffiliated...perhaps he'd make a good mark. They were well-paid after all, but not stingy, at least as far as she knew. And unlike some professions, being a guard was independent of your personal wealth, so he'd be fine afterwards. Now to wait for him...

Yolantha and Kyle Johnson

The queen shake her head "No, no, don't let me keep you, Kyle, your replacement will be here soon, so don't worried." she look at Yolantha "Not that I can think of, thank you, doctor."

Aria Weatherhood

"Thank ya." the quartermaster says as he let you help, making short work of the unloading.

Bitesti the Gold

You chat with the other guests and the king. From an Arcadia's noble you learn that the captain of the guard in Vahn was murdered. From a Sarka inventor you learn that the economy of Roloi, the capital of Sarka suddenly fell, not so much that the country is in danger, but it is troubling for so much stuff to disappear. The king is worried about his wife, no big surprise.

William Ashworth

You turn up at the party, seem to of started.

Mahriana

You get into the party without difficulties, now where your 'prince charming'?

Everyone but Aria

A shockwave thundered through the castle. The guards and William go on alert, recognizing it as a nearby explosion.

Aria Weatherhood

The horses, spooked, run off. You had unhitched them from the cart so the cart itself wasn't dashed to pieces by them. Out of the smoke left by the explosion, black armoured figures, one of them killing a guard knocked prone by the explosion, appear. The quartermaster pull you to your feet "Go into the palace, it not safe here!" he shout as turn his back on you to face the unknown army.

"What on earth was that?"

Go to a stable spot in the room towards the center of the palace. Pray.

"Oh dear. Seems like quite the commotion. Do you need any help, your Majesty?"

Yolantha, not feeling entirely secure, quickly retrieves a scalpel from her bag and puts it in her pocket as she asks about the Queen's needs.

Get scalpel, question queen. If she needs no help, stand in a doorframe, preferably the one leading out of the room. Look around if anything seems to be coming this way.

Aria hurridly scampers into the palace, alerting as many guards as she can fin and sending them in the direction of the black armoured figures. She knows there is a party on, and makes her way towards it.

This is turning out to be a perfect day, isn't it? Aria mumbles to no one in particular as she runs through the halls.

Alert any and all guards Aria comes across and send them towards the attackers. Make way to party room to alert king and guests.

"An explosion... near the King's party? Whoever caused it must either be suicidal or confident..." ...and if they're suicidal, they would be in plain view. Could it be a distraction? I do recall a few associates of mine being involved in that sort of thing... but in that case, why here? An explosion could work as a distraction anywhere, no need to detonate it near the damned palace and heighten the risks.
Shit.
It can't be an attack, can it? Why would anyone attack when the palace is more fortified. Unless... the guards are further away from the King since they need to protect more people... if an explosion were to distract them and convince the crowd to move in the other direction...
OH FUCK!

William moves towards the center of the part before quickly slipping off to the side, out of view. He tries to ensure that he is hidden from as many viewpoints as possible while still retaining an inconspicuous proximity to the other guests. He keeps his hand on his misericorde, ready to unsheathe it.

Mahriana's eyes widened, then she looked around quickly. This could be an earthquake, but she doubted it. The guards were all worked up, so it was probably an attack. But by who? This could be anyone, most likely an attack on the king...but what if the Emerald Hand had gotten desperate, curious, or overly confident? She needed a place to hide, just in case. Mahriana tries to find somewhere out of the way to hide, probably running down some halls or something.

Yolantha and Kyle Johnson

Kyle head for the entrance, while Yolantha, after making sure the queen nothing, stand at the doorway.

Bitesti the Gold

Bitesti run for the center room of the castle, which he doesn't know so he head for the most likely one, the king's room.(It what I would put anyway)

Aria Weatherhood

You run, getting as much attention as possible. Getting close to the party room, your foot land on a loose part of the floor, giving way and sending you falling in to the darkness below you.

William Ashworth

After getting seen, you hide at the sides of the room, waiting.

Mahriana

You head off and hide in a nearby panty storeroom.

Everyone but Kyle, Aria and Bitesti.

Another shockwave thunder through the palace.

Kyle and Bitesti

The last shockwave causes the floor below you to crack opened. You know in cartoon where the character has a few seconds to realizes what happening before they fall? Yeah.

Kyle, Bitesti and Aria separately.

You land in a dark place. Judging by the number of coffins, you are in the catatombs below the palace. A thousand years of dead people lie here, best not to join them.
