One day, he tried to steal the wallet of the newest robot manufactured by Kavatar Incorporated. however, this robot was state of the art and had defenses against delving. he was apprehended and taken into custody by Kavatar, where he was told of his real abilities and given a simple choice: work with them or be thrown into prison. He chose the former option.
I like your background, but just one thing. You can't delve into a robot's mind, because it doesn't have one. Being a delver is all about affecting living things that possess sentience, and robots aren't. Plus robots don't have wallets either, and androids have only just been invented and you wouldn't expect to see them all over the place, especially not somewhere where a poor man like Angus could have met one.

Lot's of delvers joining... I was gonna be one for countering enemy spies and stuff, but I figure I'd go with kinesis to balance out the numbers as well as having fun by bending the forces of nature to my will. Could be useful in escaping.

If I don't manage to get an eighth player, then we'll just go with these seven for now.

RAM_Wilhelm T.
Certification confirmed. Welcome to Ysgra Mr. Wilhelm. We expect great things from you.

The arc welder sparks as you finish soldering the final patch onto the coolant system. You lower the shield from your face, wiping the sweat from your brow and accessing your IN-COM to send a digital memo to Hauser. You receive a reply almost instantly, and you pull it up on your optic interface to view the text: got trouble. get up here ASAP. You set the torch assembly down and push off of the nearby wall, sending you careening down the space-faring vessel's uncomfortably small corridor. You outstretch one hand and catch the ladder as you pass by, pulling yourself up to DECK2 and heading for the bridge.

Its not much of a command centre. On an Old Epoch courier corvette like this, with tentative designs and inefficient fuel sources, space meant everything. There's only one chair with several dozen screens crammed in front of it, each one pouring with navigational data and system readouts. The Yumi has been modified to use a fusion power plant, just like most modern ships, but unfortunately its owner could never afford a complete overhaul. He sits in the helmsman/Captain/navigator/weapons officer's cradle, and he turns his head slightly in greeting at your approach before turning back to gaze at the screens. His eyes flick back and forth as he absorbs the information playing across them. He blinks a few controls and the screens all merge to show an image of the vast expanse of space lying just outside the ship. This is the bow camera. He blinks twice and the view zooms in on a tiny point of light, which is revealed to be one of the many massive spinning asteroids orbiting the planet Hachae. The camera tracks the rock's movement as it continues its orbit. There's Ida station, but, I picked this up on the long-range scanners. Hauser blinks again. You see a small ship with a triple bar insignia, stencilled on the side of the vessel in green paint so dark that it renders it nearly indistinguishable. You swear under your breath. Hauser spins in his chair and looks at you, directly this time. Exactly. Its Pan. I don't know what to do. We need to get to Ida but those fucks will ping us the moment I move in. They're camping in that asteroid belt so I can't get a solid lock with a missile, and at this range the chain guns aren't going to hit them. We've got the element of surprise, but from my seat here all I can tell you is that we're out of options. Unless you've got an idea.

Harry Baldman_Churchill W.
Certification confirmed. Greetings from the Chairman. He thanks you for your accepting this offer, and wishes you satisfaction during your time with us. Thank you.

You awaken seated in a metal chair with your wrists strapped tightly to the arms by a pair of thick leather belts. You glance around fearfully before your eyes fall upon a shadowy figure lurking in the corner. He steps forward out of the shadows, a smirk on his face. Did you really think you'd get away with cheating us? Eh? He circles you slowly, hungrily, like a vulture circling over a dying man. You suddenly notice a nearly inaudible buzz on the edge of your hearing, and the man yanks your chin up and back none too gently. Your hair stands on end as he brings the laser knife millimetres away from your exposed throat. You think you can just walk away from this? No. This is the kind of thing no one walks away from. Not even you Company man.

kingfisher1112_Simmons S.
Certification confirmed. Good evening, Mr. Simmons. I trust you had a pleasant flight? You'll be starting immediately, so there's no time to unpack.

You take the room key from your pocket and shove it into the door scanner. The status light turns green and the door to the hotel slides open automatically. You retrieve the card and slip it into your pocket. You walk inside without taking your coat off, striding past the picture window and towards the bathroom. You open the door and go inside, then pull back the shower curtain. There's a black, ebony briefcase in the bottom of the tub. You pick it up and walk back into the room, having a seat in the room's only chair and setting the dark case on your lap.

Zako_Markowitz R.
Certification confirmed. Good afternoon Mr. Markowitz. Everything has been delivered. Our man will meet you there.

You walk into your studio apartment, setting your duffel bag down by the door and removing your coat. You walk over to the bar and pour yourself a drink, then head past the fireplace to the stairs. The steps are held up by antigravity units. At first you were skeptical about getting them; they didn't seem very safe, and frankly walking on anything that isn't solid just scares the shit out of you. But lately you've learned, not to enjoy them, but to tolerate them. As if you were two creatures in some misty, faraway jungle that mutually decided not to murder one another simply because, without one, the other would be utterly useless.

You push the philosophic thoughts aside and head upstairs, crossing the wallless second floor and sitting down at your work desk. You pull up your emails on your IN-COM, and trash everything after browsing through your inbox momentarily. You sit there quietly for several minutes, nursing your scotch whiskey. Finally you pull up your contacts list. Its high-time you got to work. You haven't been on a real job in months.

gman8181_Friendly J.
Certification confirmed. We have heard of your many talents Mr. Friendly. Don't disappoint us.

You walk into the building, past the crowded reception, flashing a forged company ID and slipping into a nearby service elevator. You press the floor 50 switch, and as soon as the doors close you let your trench coat slip to the ground. You remove the sub-energy repeater from its holster on your lower back, loading a pair of energy cells into the feed and threading a detensifier onto the barrel before replacing it. You check all three of your beam pistols, including the one on your shoulder, hip and boot holsters, then slip them back where they belong. You heft your heavy-firepower, a folding hyper-dicer attached to your inner thigh. It flings super-heated discs at massive velocity, passing through even the heaviest of armour and posing a threat even to light tanks and small buildings in the right hands. You slap it back into place and make sure you still have all of your grenades. HE, nerve gas, and one EMP for good measure. You slip your electromagnetic/infrared imaging goggles over your eyes and pull the body suit's mask over your face and mouth, donning the ceramic, ultra-light body armour you had hidden in pieces within the seams of your now shredded coat.

47. 48. 49. 50.

The doors slide open and you see a great hall before you. A pair of uniformed guards chat idly in front of the elevator while they wait for it to arrive. They both laugh at some shared joke, then turn and notice you for the first time.

Xantolos_Harker D.
ERROR. PLEASE FILL IN ALL FIELDS. Are you trying to hide something from us Mr. Harker?

Jembot_Frace A.
Certification confirmed. Welcome aboard Mr. Frace. We're glad to have someone of your expertise. Don't worry, all the charges have been dropped.

The rain spatters angrily on your leather overcoat, sliding down in runnels and dripping onto the concrete. You pull your hat down a bit further onto your head and glance across the street. There. A man with a stainless steel briefcase splashes down the sidewalk, pushing people aside as he fights to get through. You need that case. Or, more specifically, the contents of that case. Any means necessary. You finger the compact energy pistol within in the confines of your coat.

Aseaheru_B0b C.
Certification confirmed. Apologies for your name, but all companies, even ours, don't normally allow "cybers" on its private payroll. For you however, we can make an exception.

You walk next to the Kavatar executive that you're meant to be guarding. He makes idle chatter while you scan the room carefully, routinely glancing at its inhabitants, as well as constantly checking the windows. This is the last day you're meant to protect him, and your contract will be up in 15 minutes. Once that time is up, you'll be able to collect your pay and walk out of here. But until then, you're not going to take any chances. You walk with him towards the great hall from his office. The middle-aged, steely-haired man continue to make conversation, despite your lack of participation in it. You sigh. He's been doing this for almost a week now. You'll be glad to have this bastard out of your hair once this job is over. He slows down suddenly. I'm sorry, what was that you said? Shit. You must've said that out loud. You shrug your shoulders and continue walking, and he walks quickly to catch up. Soon you've gone back to ignoring the man so you can focus on keeping him alive. You reach the massive door leading to the hall and wait while he goes through the security check. He's runs through several scanners and has his identity confirmed several times in multiple different ways, including a show of documentation, retina and fingerprint checks, as well as DNA confirmation. Kavatar has state-of-the-art in its main building, and they settle for nothing less. You flash your cert card and security simply waves you through. You finally reach the actual door after passing by the gauntlet of metal detectors, all of which you set off due to your carrying a handgun, and all of which you subsequently stroll through after showing your cert. The actual door requires yet more scans and confirmations, and you wait patiently while the man is run through the processes.
