Poll

What should we tell the mountainhome?

A - Long live the King, Baron up and join the mountainhome for good.
B - Long live our own ends, distance the Fort from the mountainhome for good.
If both votes are tied, RNG decides. A vote placed here will be strategically wasted.

Summon the King! May the Lord of Frozen Wilds crush his enemies with an ice cold fist and freeze the hearts of all those who oppose him!

Genghis Khan, emperor of the Mongol Horde, despised cities in favor of the nomadic life of a warrior.  His people's greatest architectures were the pyramids of skulls heaped in front of cities his horde ransacked and the horse-hide yurts his wives and concubines set up for him wherever he went.  The great Khan himself never slept beneath anything lesser than the entire night sky itself.  What we may have here is the beginnings of a nomadic empire that feeds from captive cities who a permitted to give eternal tribute like cowards rather than die honorably as true  ]s]men[/s] dwarves should.

That's the point, nomadic... We are part of a trench warfare, we will not be moving any time soon! Besides Dwarves are not Mongols, the king will demand quarters worthy of his status...

Loud Whispers, do you think you could arrange some sort of nude wrestling match to welcome the new baron to his or her position?

Hmm.  What to do if the options are tied?  IIRC, there were only 12 votes last time as well...

Edit the post to contain a third option that only takes effect if the other two are tied.  Anyone voting for the third option has just wasted their vote - (be sure to include that in your third option description.)  Otherwise, you can add something to the poll question like "if tied, option A is in effect", basically giving yourself an extra "vote" only in the case of ties to weight the poll more in the direction you favor.  (This is basically what I've done in the "Dwarfopoly" Questing poll - I've even made where the poll falls on a particular turn affect how many quests are generated in that turn - a sort of meta game of "bowb yer buddy".)

We should have a nude wrestling tournament and give the champion an extra vote.

I am presuming that eating dragon hearts and using danger rooms disqualifies you? Because if not I wanna have a go at that^^ Or we could have a Bloodbowl match with gobbos, either way it's fun^^

And what would be the third option when only two are visible?

Flip a coin.  Heads, we accept the Baroncy.  Tails, we kick their asses outta here.

"Should we invade Iraq?  They've got oil, that'd solve all our problems!"

"I'm don't think so, Mr. Bush, sir.  If we invade them without UN support, the fighting's gonna be fierce, we'll get a lot of flak from other countries and our own citizens, and there's no guarantee we won't get sanctioned ourselves for startin' a war."

"Oh, look, it's heads!  Alright, we're invading!"
