Needless to say, she's lying. She is not fine with everything that just happened. I mean, she's not even used to being non-canon, for crying out loud.

Kyle shakes his head.
"I wouldn't be fine if I was in your place. You sure?"

Mami takes deep breaths, obviously trying hard to stay calm. "I-i'm...fine...  I'm n-not afraid of anything..."

...and then she breaks the fuck down, sobbing and leaning on Kyle.

Kyle hugs her and pats her on the back.
"Sh.... There there, you're safe now."

Mami hugs him back, nodding gently as she continues to weep into him. Aww.

Kyle continues to gently comfort her and pat her back.

Mami starts to wipe her tears, though she's still unable to speak.

Kyle pulls back slightly and assists with wiping off her tears.

Mami eventually gets collected enough to speak.

"...do you have any..tea?"

[Sanure]

And secretly, somewhere, Sanure is reconstructing his form using the tears of his current collection. "I shall have that Mami tomoe for my collection. My arena will not be complete until then." Cue evil laugh which really isn't as evil as it sounds.

"Not here... most people don't take tea while they're busting human traffickers... I could take you to a restaurant or my house or something though."
Kyle says with a cheerful grin.

"...house will do. Tea is good for calming down...maybe you should carry it along."

She smiles a bit weakly.

Kyle smiles as well and nods.
"Okay. Come along then."

Mami does so, still shaking ever so slightly.

Kyle takes Mami to his car. It's a Dodge Viper. He opens the door for her on the passenger side.
