Huzzah! Time for Catherine to be completely naive about the entire magical girl thing, and just go to the usual first assumption that it is totally awesome and stuff!

Catherine woke up, and looked around her room. She had a strange dream last night, something about her ribbon or whatever, and a lot of water. She didn't pay much mind to it, anyway. So, she got up, and quickly got dressed, before heading downstairs, and out into town.
"All right, Catherine dear, time to get used to this town. I wonder if I can end up making some friends, today..."

Catherine decides to sit down in the park somewhere, under a certain tree, as she just looks around for someone to become friends with.
"Hm.... Where to... "

Since I'm going to sleep, I'll reenact what happened by not being able to post for the first several pages and clumsily trying to add myself in later.

For a bit, Catherine just sort of starts humming to herself, alongside the whistling.
"Hmm... Wait. I'm the one humming, but who's the one whistling..."
Catherine looks all around her, and then see's Kyle, as she looks up.
"Oh! Hi there. Um... how long were you up there?"

"I've been here since you sat down."

"Oh... You don't mind if I sit here with you then, right? By the way, my name's Catherine. Catherine Valten. I'm kinda new in town."

"Feel free to sit where you want, The name is Kyle by the way."

She smiles, and just sits just a bit closer to the tree trunk as before.
"Well, Kyle, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Kyle reaches a hand down to shake.
