"Was it... m-magic...?" Selina seems like a little kid, wrapped in the story.

[Twi]

"Sort of! It was a lens of sorts, something very useful in machines! Naturally, the Mechanic wanted to know where the Elemental had gotten it. The Elemental gave her a very complex tale that was quite literally laughed off, but after a while they reached an understanding and the Elemental led the Mechanic to the cavern full of crystals, where the latter found that there were more of these many varieties of useful crystals around! As a reward, she promised to teach the Elemental some of her trade.~"

((... aren't these ~ when things are said seductively on this thread...? ...this is going to end weirdly))

"S-s-so... sh-she got her... her wish...?"

[Twi]

((I dunno. x3))

"Indeed she did, though the Mechanic was a harsh teacher. Nonetheless, that lady was quite pleased with all the lovely crystals they'd found! Still, neither of them were really quite satisfied. The Elemental still thirsted for adventure, you see... They checked their maps and saw that a large city was within a few days walk! Somewhere much more exciting than their sleepy little cavern town.

Thus, the duo set out on a journey.~"

((That one, though, that was intentional. ))

"Did... they get there saf... w-why did you say... say the last part... part like... like that...?" Selina seems confused

[Twi]

"Because I like journeys~

Anyways, on their way the duo trekked through many difficult caves and even came to a small underground river.


Then they saw something..."

[RangerCado]

"S-s-something...? What...?"

[Twi]

"An enormous mechanical spider of gunmetal brass and treacherous pointy skin, spouting steam and nonsense letters! A hungry, metallic beast with eight glowing eyes and eight powerful legs! A true monster of the underdark! It nearly scared the Mechanic out of her life just seeing it!"
((Shameless plug doubles as excuse for me to not write this all out again.))

"That was... was really cool..." Selina seems a bit in awe of the fight.

[Twi]

"And so our victorious heroes continued onwards into the great open cavern that led to the city, where they finally found a road! A sign of civilization once more! The Mechanic said that the city was less than a day away, and so they pressed onwards.

When suddenly, they spied a shepherd in the distance..."

((Read that sequence. My fingers are tired. D: ))

"This part is n-nice..." Selina enjoys the non-actiony part of the story, seemingly more than the action part.

[Twi]

"The Elemental and the Shepherd ended up rushing forward in an attempt to catch up with the Mechanic, who was courteous enough to let them do so. They talked as they walked, discussing all their respective fields. Aside from the obvious, the Shepherd could tell you a lot about the theology she claimed to disdain so, and the Elemental knew a lot more history than you would expect from someone who simply mined. But then, she was very old, after all. She remembered ancient days as well as yesterday, even though it was hard to measure days underground."

"That sounds... sounds inconvienent..."

[Twi]

"It is indeed a bit of a pain. I know some people who know that from experience. The seasons are dull at best, too."

[RangerCado]

"W-w-wait... th-this is... is a t-t-true s-story...?" Selina suddenly seems very interested and curious.
