Random Voters thingy for those who feel like voting for nothing.

[Twi]

"You...fell over and hit your head."

[RangerCado]

"I... uh... g-g-guessed that... b-b-but... b-before...?" Selina looks like shes trying to remember what happened before she hit her head.

[Twi]

"...You freaked out. As usual. Nothing special."

[RangerCado]

"Er... o-o-okay... um..." Selina seems to accept the explanation, knowing how she can get sometimes.

"Um... s-s-so... how... how are you...?"

[Twi]

"Pretty good, all things considered. Keeping this place safe from nefarious dimension warps and the like AND doing my actual job - you know, the one that pays - is a bit like whack-a-mole. You finish one thing and another pops up. That said...I think I have some free time for a while."

She smiles and finds a chair to make herself comfortable.

"Wanna hear a story or two?"

[RangerCado]

"Uh... sh-sh-sure... w-what kind of... of story...?" Selina seems happy for the distraction.

[Twi]

"A cute one, perhaps. One you'll enjoy, I hope!"

[RangerCado]

"Um... o-o-okay..." Selina hopes she'll be able to calm down during the story.

[Twi]

"Alright...

Once upon a time, there was a woman made of metal. Well, the woman part was slightly questionable, seeing as she was an elemental of sorts, but we'll go with it anyways.

This lovely lustrous lady lived deep underground, far below the surface, in a small town full of humans and other oddities. After all, caverns are full of nothing but oddities. Anyways, these people were still in the age of steam,  and they did quite a bit with that particular technology! In fact, there was a skilled mechanic at the very town our heroine was living in. As old as this elemental was, being a mechanic had long been one of her dreams..."

[RangerCado]

Selina seems quite interested in the story.

[Twi]

"But I'm getting ahead of myself! Our elemental was a miner, usually mining a brittle red stone used in electric parts. She didn't actually need to eat, so it wasn't that important, but it was nice to feel independent, and she was decent at her fairly unexciting job. One day (or time), however, she was just swinging her pickaxe like normal...

..When she swung straight through the rock and almost dropped her pick into a huge cavern full of enormous lovely crystals! ...and angry dogs, unfortunately."

[RangerCado]

Selina gulps, knowing how scary dogs can be.

[Twi]

"But even though the hellhounds were full of acid, the natural bane of metal elementals, our hero did not back down! No, she took her blade and bravely slew the beasts one by one, her whirling and slightly greedy visage reflected on the cavern's crystals! It was quite the epic battle!

...not that the little monsters really ever had a chance. Anyways, our elemental proceeded to make off with quite a few of those crystals, and then...well, she had a bit of a delay."

[RangerCado]

"a-a-a... delay...?" Selina looks worried.

[Twi]

"Well, as she was not yet a true hero, she did not yet know what to do instinctively. So...well, she tried to steal the mechanic shop, apparently? I'm not sure what that was about.

Obviously, she failed because one does not simply steal houses. She did catch the eye of the mechanic, whose own eye had drifted to the crystal she was carrying, for it wasn't just any crystal!"
