Rutger looks at the person.

Look for a Demon Lock on this creature from a distance. If there isn't one, step away rapidly. If and only if there is one, poke it with my foot. If that doesn't work, poke it with my hand. And if that doesn't work, pick it up and shake it vigorously.

(L4+6)

The person doesn't have a Demon Lock. Rutger backs away toward Section B again.

It looks like Kyle and the escort have gone someplace else.

Name: Cray
Brief bio: Cray is a novice summoner, trained to conjure things from other worlds to serve her. This requires a fair amount of finesse and experimentation to get just right, but Cray's inquisitive and carefree enough to fit the job well.
Simple appearance: A fair-skinned girl with a white ponytail, scorpion tail, and some chitin plating.
Class: Summoner
Starting item: Chalice of Sacrifice

Cray wakes up. She remembers a blow to the head and wearing significantly more armor than her current leathery rags.

Not much other than that, though.

Hmm.

Kyle pulls out his gun and twirls it on his finger.
"Let's rock."

: "Let us destroy them."

|Ah good, you're awake Cray.

...Um, oh goodness this place isn't where we want to be. Nooooot good.

There's nobody around.

...

Perhaps the nearest establishment could offer some help? You are OK right?

Well, crap. Kyle's gone, there's unconscious people without locks hanging about, and you still know exactly zilch about this place and what goes on here. You don't even have the slightest clue where you are, do you? You are as screwed as they get, R, as screwed as they get.

Where the hell is everyone, anyway? Everybody's vanished off the face of the... nether dimension, from the looks of it. This place is weird as hell, you have to say. And nobody's around to exposit a single thing, give a single solid fact to hang on to. Thing is, there's nobody you can trust. Not yet, anyway.

Guess you gotta go to the place people live in, then. Let's see... likely spots... Ninco? There was something like that written on a wall on that building. And that's the building Captain Centrifuge was nearest to. Couldn't hurt to have a look, could it?

Yeah, it probably could. Still, no options here. Residential area's probably just as abandoned as this place, anyway.

This marketplace looks pretty empty. Go back to Section A, check that building that said "Ninco Office" on it. Maybe there's... I dunno, someone there. Stop if I see anything alarming inside the office.

{Hit the grotesque man, cowboy. I doubt we can infer their durability from here, but taking out the stronger targets seems best.}

I really think you drank too much whiskey again. That's just biased and stereotypical.

PS. They think the guy with the gun is more dangerous because he's new.

Hmph.

Tentatively dropped, by the way. Time constraints and all. Should probably mention that.

I, on the other hand, must be very pessimistic, because I guessed right about what the new replie(s) would be about.
Yup, it was to officially put it on indefinite hiatus, possibly kill it.
