I loves me some tigers. My last fort's king's emblem was the tiger (for their predatory nature) So The king's throneroom was also a tiger pen, complete with copper/obsidian tiger-striped floor, and gold statues covered in Tiger Irons. The great hall's floor was pure obsidian, with a copper tiger rampant in the center. Oh also, the king's guard, The Tiger's Paws, were equipped with copper scourges encrusted with tiger irons, and each had their own Giant War Tiger. Yup.

Aren't Tiger Irons what he uses after he tees off but before he gets to the green?

I also modded rattlesnakes to breed and since I got a male I now have a giant rattlesnake pit  :D. Did you know rattlesnakes give live birth?

Children you rescue shouldn't behave like rabid beasts.  I guess your regular companions shouldn't act like rabid beasts either.
I think that's a little more impossible than I'm likely to have time for.

Although many kinds of snakes and other reptiles are oviparous (lay eggs), rattlesnakes are viviparous (give birth to live young).

I'm not as think as you drunk I am.

My favorite animal by far is the noble wagon. You can build a trade depot from their bones and surround it with memorials to the brave wagons of yesteryear who gave their lives to bring your fortress prepared mosquito brains, capybara blood, and +large bronze breastplates+.

Also like getting peregrine falcons going as an alternative vermin control though there are shortcomings as well as advantages to having them instead of cats.

Would you mind going into more detail about that?
I for one have got rid of dogs in my forts ever since I found they make great zombie multipliers.

Giant Sperm Whales.. SO MUCH MEAT.

And with a tiny tweak to the leather template, enough leather to outfit a thousand dwarves!

Helmet snakes, Giant Desert Scorpions or Giant Cave Spiders.

Throw a disarmed goblin with a helmet on down a pit full of those on a stockpile of your weapons. Your weapons will end up covered in their venoms.

One of these days I'm going to try this.

Giant cave spiders.  Capture one of these and your cloth problems are a thing of the past and with a little tinkering you can breed an army of the best animal sentries a marksdwarf could ask for and wild ones can train armor skill on a helmed dwarf fairly safely.  Plus who doesn't like caged megabeasts/clowns?

I can't tame them, but I like capturing troglodytes from the caverns and pitting them in their own little towns lovingly carved, engraved and filled with statuary and fountains for my amusement. And then I drop goblins and elves in to keep them company.

I like Forgotten beast for their randomness and jabberers for their ability to snap dwarfs in half
