Hmm. I may actually make a social character my main. I mean, if I love screwing around with the character maker so much the image designer profession is perfect. Maybe an ID/tailor/dancer? or ID/medic/pistoleer?

Now if only I didn't get like one frame per ten seconds in Mos Eisley. Especially the friggin cantina. You'd think a ten year old game would run better. Its too bad practically every other city on the planet is empty. Maybe I should go searching for a city/planet with a decent population that doesn't choke my framerate.

You could try messing with your settings for a better framerate.

Anyhow, I've set up a wind power generator and a personal mineral extractor for aluminum. If you want permission to access it, let me know and I'll add your name to the list. Just remember to pay some of the maintenance fee and bring batteries from the wind generator to the mineral extractor. The fee needs to be in cash, so take some money out of your bank.

It's a ten year old game made by Sony. They are horrible at optimization.

If Mos Eisley chokes your framerate, do not go to Coronet. Your computer will die.

Where's this at, and how much do you want a user to pay?

The wind generator is at 3984, -3813. The mineral extractor is at 4315, -4283. You should be able to identify them by their names. The mineral extractor costs 30 credits/hour in maintenance, and the wind generator 60. I'm not really sure what the actual resource output per hour is, though.

Well, I found them both. I'm by the extractor now, if you want to meet up.

Braedil Hivela's the name, of course.

I don't suppose your medic would be needing copious amounts of insect meat? Pretty sure its a decent quality ingredient for meds. Actually, anyone who ever sees my Rakshara on and needs bones, hides, or meat should just ask. I always have tons of it in my inventory.

I spent far too much time with the CDEF rifle. Which was stupid. But now I have a good quality laser rifle I'm oneshotting everything the missions give me, and generally killing the lairs before they spawn more than one monster. That plus my new swoop bike and I'm practically raking in the dough.

Advice to new combat classes: Get better weapons and a vehicle. I'd recommend a swoop bike. You can find them for 4-5k. I ran around far too much on foot because I spent my first credits on expensive armor and clothing. Mistake. Weapons and a vehicle are where its at. Get those and you can rake in enough cash to buy armor and the extras.

Also, Theed is much less laggy for me. which is confusing, because of all the fancy architecture and trees and water, when Tatooine is very bland with flat simple architecture and barren ground.

Must be the fifty people crammed in the Mos Eisley cantina at all times. Or maybe because everyone avoids Naboo because of the shitty movies.

I'm always on the lookout for decent med ingredients. I don't have Artisan yet because I'm trying to train up my medic and marksman skills, so anything that can help make better stimpacks is a blessing.

Mos Eisley Cantina is pretty much the hub of Tatooine. Coronet of Corellia is even more full of people. Everywhere else... well, they're probably pretty empty.

I know that the casino might be moving over by Theed, though.

So I loaded it up for the hell of it. In running delivery missions for a little bit of starter capital I see that TKAs are every bit as popular as they were back then - a bunch of people (seemingly AFK) kicking the daylights out of imperial mooks in Mos Entha.

Also, I totally forgot that ferries between cities only every 5 minutes or whatever. Is there anything to alleviate that, or did that only happen with JTL and owning of ships?

You could try buying a vehicle and just driving from place to place. I prefer it anyway because it disconnects me 80% of the time after loading screens.

I haven't been having any problem with disconnects so far, but I will definitely say that, unless you're hoping to a nearby player town with a spaceport, manual travel is definitely much slower even on a speeder than waiting for the shuttle. Of course, if you're not going to a place with a port then yeah, walking or a speeder are your only options.

Just sucks when you buy a ticket and run over 10 feet and the shuttle leaves right as you activate the ticket collector.

You don't actually need to speak to the ticket collector. You can just activate it from your inventory.

Heh, I'd kind of like to do that. I can't seem to target NPCs with a macro though.

I always thought the macro system was one of the coolest things about SWG. Going to have to play again, keep posting and tempting me, please.

I can't get macros to work for me at all. I've been having lots of not fun grinding my ass off. Thankfully, staying in and near Mos Eisley means there's plenty of screwing around to do as well, so it's not all bad.
