Turn 2: Evil Is Better In ModerationWhen the gods exerted Their power on the world, much of it was lost in creation. Even in the brief time They had existed, much power had been spent. Enough for one to work with.
The Shifter awakened, the bright flame of His ethereal form visible only to the gods. Its' metallic claws wove the power of the gods into physical form, Their power made real.
Within what would have been the Nightmare Swamps rose many octahedral monoliths, as black as the Nightmare Dragon itself. Made of a virtually indestructible material, varying between eight and forty meters above the ground, a sixteenth of that across, extending the same distance below, these metallic pillars would inspire awe in any mortal foolish enough to wander in to what would no doubt become a true hell for life in time, when Mighty Scionox once more exerts His power over His creations.
Create Feature in the "Nightmare Swamps": The Silent Stones
The Silent Stones - Mysterious octahedral monoliths, perfectly smooth on every side, from eight to forty meters in height and an sixteenth of that distance across. They extend the same distance below-ground and above-ground. They are made out of a nearly-indestructible metal. They are, of course, pitch black. They seem to serve no purpose, save to inspire awe in the inhabitants of the universe, for now.
Quick edit: The metal they are made of is as dense as iron.
[2] You create some smooth dark rocks in a circle. They do not inspire awe.
Create Fauna: Nightmare Birds at the "Nightmare Swamps"
Angered at first at the sudden instability in power, Scionox then remembered one idea that he was going to implement later on, and thus he breathed his nightmare breath at the "nightmare Swamps".
Shortly, from the caves of the "Swamps", small, ordinary, birds started appearing, various colors, flying around. But they look ordinary only at first, they are aggressive, and whenever it comes to hunting or attacking beings that trespass their territory, they turn into giant brown bat-like abominations one look of which can make about everyone freeze in fear, and their skin is tough enough can protect them versus ordinary weapons. They started flying and spreading around, eventually, they will spread into other regions.
"The true nightmare is not obvious at first, and strikes out of nowhere"
[1] You create bright, cheerful birds that burst into pretty songs and even more beautiful plumage when approached. They mainly eat seeds.
create flora: Delightful whim in nightmare swamps
As she looked upon the regions lacking in food she created a tree which would produce such a large harvest each season and the fruit would be enough to satisfy any creatures hunger with one of the fruits. But at the cost of sating hunger the creatures lust would grow tenfold bringing on a different hunger. The tree is extremely large will gnarled roots splayed above and deep below. The tree is able to live in the most uninhabitable areas as well. the fruits look like apple sized cherries and have the most exquisite taste and something the creature would always remember after eating.
(( I only just got up that's my excuse for forgetting that haha ))
[1] You create gnarled, black trees that produce bitter, dull red fruits with a withered look about them. They're barely edible and known to kill libido.
Create Flora: The Rancor Red in The "Nightmare Swamps"
Bodark, unable to control his power in his first move, was determined to create something all mortals would remember him for. He cared not if he were loved or feared, and a good mix of both would serve him well. Once again raising his hands, he reached out to a new target, intending to flex his muscles and show what he was capable of.
The Rancor Red is a waterborne fungus that blooms constantly. Drinking water with spores from the Rancor Red causes it's young form to take root in a creature's body, bringing about a sickness that causes great pain. In it's last stages, it induces hellish thirst, and then simply awaits the host's death. Spores are released from the host's dead body, taking over more sources of water this way. The Rancor Red is highly toxic, and consuming it is a guaranteed death sentence even without the effect of the spores.
[6] You create the Rancor Red, an enormous water-dependent fungus whose spores infect living things, inducing agonizing pain, endless thirst, and more Rancor Red sprouting from the victim's flesh. It's also incredibly lethal when consumed directly.
The gods labored as they bring the world to life, and Lawydia's sibling trying to recover his ruined swamps. As the trees are created, she decides that it is time for her to spread her essence over the land.
Create sentient: elves in Nightmare Swamps
The elves are evil, spiteful creatures that views all other mortals around them as lesser beings. While not truly immortal themselves, an average elf can live up to 500 years. They resemble a humanoid, albeit taller and paler, with jet black hair. They sport four long, sleek ears, two of them on each side of their head. Their eyes are clouded and glowing, making it impossible to see where an elf is looking at. Elves live in "harmony" with their environment, residing like spirits in a tree or rocks, and corrupting them as they siphoned the mana out of them. While this means they do not need to eat, an elf enjoys food as much as other mortals. They also hold the custom of consuming their fallen allies and enemies in battle.
They do not wear clothes in their own Retreat, but will wear exquisite garbs and hats when dealing with foreigners.
Elves are chaotic creatures, at best partying every night, and at worst causing trouble and mischief to other mortals. While dealing with them usually benefit their allies, one must always be wary of them, as the elf constantly make up trade ethics to their whims just to piss off their trade partners, and the partners must endure it in exchange for their exquisite craftsmanship, medicines, and weapons.
They breed like humans, although their arts of intercourse, as they claim, are more superior. Elves can increase their population rapidly, as they can make at least ten children in one single night of their lust and debauchery. However, as soon as they reach a stable population, they begin to cull newborns to select only the strongest and cleverest, which means there will only be one elf per year that live to adulthood. The rest of the culled babies are usually used to make the favorite elf dish known as juteuse eife bébé.
Their core trade ethic is that they forbid the trade of stone products during Spring, wood during Summer, gems during Autumn and metal during Winter.
A victim to the elf's prank will find the Mark of Lawydia on on the property. Superstitions say that the Mark allow Lawydia to trespass the property, and so they must hurry to remove it.
Yeah, I hate elves.
[5] You create elves, whimsically malicious trickster spirits that corrupt everything around them. They pay homage to Lawydia, and serve to open the way for her to meddle in things directly.
Create Feature : Primal Oasis in Lush Plains
Bogg disgusted by the lack of life in the "Lush" plains creates oasis surrounding spring hidden in a rocky canyon. Many species of quicklt growing ferns, fungi, bushes and small animals spread from this refuge in the middle of barren lands. The spring however brings the water only in odd years making the oasis die each year and start anew the next. The oasis is hidden by the terrain and hard to find even when you know it's location.
[2] You create a crack in the ground where water leaks out.
((I really think someone's putting the bias on elves without truly even defining them first >.>))
Panacea.
The Lunar Tears spoke of a time when even the gods walked the lands, and it would be said that their tears would be the only reminder of their passing, as the land changed and warped under their chaos.
But the lands were lacking, it was all rock and dirt. Hard, cold stone, lacking the ebb and flow of life.
And so Eleri decided. A land, lush with the nutrients for life. With rivers and brooks and springs, soil cultured for the growth of plantlife, much like the Tears nearby. The Whispering Forest would be its general name, adjacent to Althaine's Mountain Range. Hopefully, this place would be a serene paradise, with warm air and a constant amount of sunlight.
Here, she planned to create her own domain, with the permission of those around her as neighbors.
Action: Create Forested Region: Whispering Forest. Warm climate. Brooks and rivers crisscross throughout the area, benefiting the warm climate and lush soil. The trees growing here would depend on the land for their growth and on whether they will thrive or not.
On fair days, and calm winds, it is said that the forest whispers its own tale. A wordless tune of emotion and longing.
[4] You create the Whispering Forest, a warm, well-watered region of nutritious soil and gentle breezes.
Althaine creates Sentients: Great Wolves of the cold that speak like men and hold the wisdom - though none of the kindness - of the Lady. In time, their spawn shall fill the earth with their lesser breed.
((What do you mean "their spawn shall fill the earth with their lesser breed?" You mean they'll start producing completely normal wolves?))
[5] You create massive wolves, wise and hard-hearted, with noble bearings and imposing voices.
[2] With nothing to eat, the "Yarostrogs" begin dying off, the survivors attempting to conserve energy in their cracks.
[3] Lunar Tear doesn't make much progress into the Whispering Forest.
The Shifter and Bogg feel their powers slipping, while Konung and Tombbrood feel their potency grow.
