They've all got odd names. What's wrong with Slaanesh?
Well, Tzeentch sound like a pretension guy that like to plan a lot, Khorne sound like someone you don't want to meet in a dark alley and Nurgle sound like the ball of hair in your bath plughole if you leave it too long.

And then Slaanesh sound like a desert prince who like knifes and not a pleasure seeker.

Currently doing selection process, off and on. Believe I've got four of the six Major Gods, but am struggling to decide the other two.

I'll probably have a finalized selection in a few hours. It's not too late for more applicants to slither in, though at this point my selection criteria has gotten a little weird.

Well, I don't think I want to provide details, because I don't think I want players trying to join as whatever they think will get them in rather than whatever they want to play. Though that does sound like it might be simpler, now that I think about it.

I will say that for my baseline selection, I tended to go with more thematic and coherent deities. Some of you sound like awesome things you could really read about in stories, others... just seemed like sort of a grab bag of appearances, personalities, and spheres.

I also tended to look disfavorably on selfish/solo gods, since while a lot of them were interesting in their own right, sitting off in a corner not interacting with anyone tends to be a lot less interesting.

I guess I will say that I'm not entirely clear on the criteria I'm looking for in the last two gods; there's a few different ways I could go with it, and that's largely the reason I'm not sure out of the gods I've got.

Want a suggestion?

Pick two who sound like natural enemies. That should make things interesting.

I would like to clarify for my character: "Tends to keep to itself" does not mean work alone/do not interact, it just means it probably won't ask for help/etc. :) Poor explanations, ho!

Quick edit: Also if I'm "active" ingame and not posting, just poke me with a PM or something.

Your god has a few other problems, though. "Taking what it wants without warning" sounds like the potential for kick-over-each-others'-blocks style confrontation with other players, and "following a mysterious plan it refuses to share" seems to further imply that it's just going to sit in a corner working silently on some grand mystery project that doesn't amount to anything.

Okay, allow me to clarify:

By "taking what it wants, without warning" I don't mean from other gods - I wouldn't disrupt other players without permission or a damn good in-character reason [ie. "other god just dropped meteor on temple" or some such, as an example]. I mean from the environment and such, so without warning my character might transform, say, all the iron in an area into some construction.

By "following a mysterious plan" I just mean I've got a bunch of stuff written down in advance, and that those creations are related in some way. Just ideas for creations, here and there.

Sorry, I'm bad at explaining things :(

Turn 0: Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Dwell Here

In the beginning, there was nothing.

From nothing, came something. Or perhaps there was always something, or the true beginning was poorly understood. For when that something arose to challenge the timeless void, it did not arise in a flurry of chaos or a burst of aimlessness, but in fashions that the mortals to come would find recognizable.

In pairs, the gods arose. Siblings, alike and unlike, in the way of mortal creatures.

First came the Siblings of Terror, of Malice, of Tragedy. Mighty Scionox, the Father of Monsters, and little Lawydia, the Heartless Trickster.

Next came the Siblings of Principle, of Action, of Humanity. Devoted Althaine, the Winter Queen, and mercurial N'kari, the Patron of Sensations.

Then came the Siblings of Nature, of Life, of Benevolence. Gentle Bodark, Patron of Life, and helpful Eleri, Messenger of the Wilds.

And then came lesser gods, too numerous to count and varied to catalog, their origins and relations scattered and disparate.

With these great beings in the void, they began their holy works...

Create the minerals Enchanted Gold and Lead
Enchanted Gold will slowly convert any matter it touches into more Enchanted Gold. As Gold spreads further from its core, it becomes Lead, which is the only substance that can resist the spread effect.

The Gold is as strong as copper, but the spread is massively accelerated on flesh, making it a highly effective weapon. Lead is just... lead-like, not really special.
(I hope it's okay to make two minerals in the same turn, they are connected intrinsically)

Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

Ayup. Unless all the Enchanted Gold was somehow encased in lead.

Or if Dansmithers rolls a 1.

No obviously the lead is enchanted and the gold is unaffected.

Question - With minor gods, as they are cycled in and out, are there repeats? [for example, if my god was cycled in for a turn, is he still eligible?] I would assume so, there are only so many people.

Also congrats Scionox, thought you'd have a fairly low chance [and so did you, according to Skype]. May terror reign throughout the heavens!
