22nd of granite, 1056- Everything feels different today... I don't know what it is but everything looks different...

3rd of slate, 1056- We are building a new dinning hall because the old one is completely flooded with no hope of being fixed. I'm hoping someone could come up with an idea to fix it but e have turned up nothing. (I'm asking whoever reads this. HELP MY OCD CAN'T HANDLE IT!!)

19th of felsite- An elven caravan has found our happy hole and wants to trade with us.
Most dwarves are not fond of the elven race but I don't mind them. I've gotten to know a few elves in my day and most are not half bad. Now the problem with the elves is there system of government, their church rules them and so some rather odd laws are enforced pretty harshly. Lets say we trade a nice figurine made of oak that sells for about 150U (U= money) now the trader there would want it but if he got caught with it he will be tied up in front of the masses and slowly die of dehydration. So most of the caravans avoid trading if we are trying to sell wood items for fear of their lives and I can't say I blame them for it. Maybe we can get some above ground seeds from them and start trading fisher barriers to the Tamol Kirar.

24th of felsite- We looked through our stores and found we only had some stone blocks to trade to the elves, considering we only want a few seed bags we should be fine.
Seth also has been talking to one of the elves named Sethe... Um... Ok... I guess his name comes from elves?

26th of felsite- After finishing a trade for a bag of fisher barriers seeds I went back to my apartment for some rest to find a small cage with a lizard in it. A note was beside the cage.

Thanks Mordicai for making a dinning hall!
from- Jigoro

That was nice I kinda like lizards. I don't know what I'll name her.

27th of felsite- O no a siege engineer has gone into a fey mood... These things are probably the most annoying quirks we dwarves have. The sudden urge to halt all progress to make either a badass wepon or a useless sock.
The bastard has claimed the mason workshop, I hope its a cool statue or chair or just ANYTHING we can use.
He has begun working on his "Project". This better be worth it.
A lignite grate... O thank you Mr. Batshit insain its what this fort needs! A grate! ... I really don't like that guy...

22nd of hematite- Huray more farmers...

Grates are useful. Especially one that can be lit on fire by a bit of magma... And then installed in a goblin trap by a sacrificial architect. Pre-smelted goblinite!

Is that Dining Hall hooked up to a aquifer? If so, there is no escape. If not, you might be able to empty it into a cistern after you plug the leak. But it'd be complex and messy, so your OCD is going to have to deal w it.

Plug it and then expand it or drain it into a cistern.

Also all those pictures you're posting aren't working for me. You have to upload them to the internet for anyone else to see. Sites like Photobucket and Imageshack work.
