You pace aroudn back and forth trying to find anything of value in the darkness. You find nothing.

As you head back to the control room, hoping to turn on the AC and sleep this nightmare off.

You toss and turn, struggling to sleep despite the cold air.

About 20 minutes must have passed when you hear a deafening crash and noises of glass breaking. The force rippling through the train made you roll and hit the wall painfully. The entire room swayed vehemently before finally settling back with a great thud.

Temperature: ??? K, COLD

"Hello?" the echo answers back as you walk down the hallway. The doors are open and the control room shorts out as soon as you leave it. You can only walk so far until you find a pile of rubble blocking your way.

Your thermal shirt does few to alleviate the chill.
You would say that it won't make a difference if you took it off, except that it would.

The rubble is warm, and as you dislodge a rock you hastily back out as the whole thing crumbled. It would be dangerous, and likely impossible, to clear the rubble.

Walk alongside the outside of the train. Look around outside for any signs of light, or at least less darkness. Or moving darkness...

You switch your cellphone on, checking the time while you're at it.

...It says that the phone cannot connect to the internet to check the new timezone.

Moving your phone in a wide arc, you surveyed the area as you walk alongside the train. You did not walk far before the train terminates into a tunnel. Following the tunnel, you find the pile of rubble. It seems that you can climb over it if you're careful enough.
