Digging's a lot like surgery, see -- you grab the sharp thing and then drive the sharp end of the sharp thing in as hard as you can and then stuff goes flying and then stuff falls out and then there's a big hole and you're done. I kinda wish there was more screaming, but rocks don't hurt so I guess it can't be helped.

$6,666

Time to add Demons to all the other apocalypses going on.
Not a bad idea actually. 666 days after the game starts you could start seeing hellmouths open up.

That would be epic.  Basically, Doom.  I've actually wanted that for a while -- a Doom game in a survival-horror style modeled somewhat after Stalker.  Where it's less about slaughtering hordes of demons and more about resorting to extreme measures of survival as the environment around you slowly twists into a hellscape.

Maybe people should love for the sake of loving, and not with all of these optimization conditions.

IIRC (don't have the KS page or my ideas document open right now), one of the stretch goals is to make the world more alive by having growable areas expand and conflict with each other, and adding new influential areas with portals leaking influence into the world and changing it as time goes on.

I noticed that.  The Doom comparison just never dawned on me until now.

I don't think 99.99% of the characters actually survives 666 days.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

I realize, I just threw the 666 day thing in as a joke. Still having hellmouths occasionally pop up would be interesting. Especially if they were enterable, like oblivion gates.
