Wait, it's only been 3-4 days since the ks launched and you've already had your coder bow out?  That doesn't really give me huge faith in my pledge.
I'm not comfortable saying he "bowed out" and am more worried he managed a "hit by a bus". I'm trying to find out for sure what happened, but haven't had much luck. I'm actually really worried for him.

You guys should set up a secondary line of communication, like phones, just so everything doesn't black out if they cannot go online.

Yeah, we have phone numbers for everyone at this point anyway. And technically, we had "a" phone number for him - but it was a Skype number, because who wants to make international phone calls?

Which isn't really all that useful now.

Taking a break from all the drama, I'm pretty happy to see that this game is still moving forward. Still remember when that boring day prompted me to pop into the Roguebasin IRC and ask if anyone had something unique/fun. Then I played that awesome game, posted about it, and the thread blew up! I can't put anything towards the project right now but wish you luck!

Thank you for the luck and glad you enjoy the game :D

Digging's a lot like surgery, see -- you grab the sharp thing and then drive the sharp end of the sharp thing in as hard as you can and then stuff goes flying and then stuff falls out and then there's a big hole and you're done. I kinda wish there was more screaming, but rocks don't hurt so I guess it can't be helped.

I think this is the best time possible for a follow-up interview with http://www.roguelikeradio.com/, an open-source, free roguelike on kickstarter is a big deal for the community as a whole even. They have also already shown interest in the game before and had an interview so it's a sure-fire way to spread the word it is.

Heh, we've already been in touch ;) Hopefully we'll get something sorted soon.

Just so everyone knows, the prospective programmer is still missing in action. It's been nearly three weeks now.

2, actually.
June 14, 2013, 06:36:05 AM was the last anyone heard from him or saw signs of him.

Either way, I'll be confirming that and the transition to the one this weekend or Monday. My attempts to get a hold of family or friends have failed, and there's nothing to at this point but roll with the little we know and move on.

Well, either way I threw some money at you guys the other day.
I've never been very good at Cata, but I'm trying to get into it. :P Also I'm really looking forwards to monsters fighting each other, too. I remember being chased by a mixed horde of zombies and cop robots in an old version... felt like they should have been busy wiping each other out. :-\

Hope you guys reach your goal. I'm looking forward to making a floorplan of my house for my reward...

Please, for the love of God though, at least mention why people should trust the replacement to deliver: His credentials, what he's worked on before, and anything else that shows he deserves to be paid for this and will be reliable enough to deliver what is promised.

I'm going to do my best. At the very least, I have DEFINITELY gotten a hold of someone who should be able to talk to Ethan. Only problem is that they haven't heard from him in a while either. But my hedging might pay off, as I should have an idea of what's actually going on by Monday.
