You decide to turn the tables on that therapist, answering with a question to buy time and gain satisfaction while contemplating your own answer.

"I don't know. What would you think it is?"

"Probably because of it, I would say. You know very little of her, so your mind fills in the details, presumably in a favorable fashion. But is that your own answer as well?"

You think about this. Your... well, enamored perception of Ms. Bartolucci might be simply because of natural expectations. However, there's also might be something else to it. Something more primal, subconscious. Almost like an animalistic imprint, in a way, though altogether very faint.

"I suppose it also might be something subconscious... like I was programmed by my creators somehow, you know?"

The therapist nods.

"That may indeed be the case as well. The question is whether you let your potential factory programming define you entirely as a person, and what you lose and gain with either solution of the previously-mentioned situation."

Okay, now you gotta know what's up with this guy.

"Do you think my attitude toward Ms. Bartolucci is a bad thing?"

"The inherent nature of things and ideas must be judged by their consequences, and not by any part of their origin - this is the most practical approach to evaluating anything. Thus, when you consider your attitude, you must also take into account its consequences. If you are indeed programmed to have a predisposition to like your owner in some way, do you think this can negatively impact your life somehow? And if so, would railing against it produce positive consequences in your life and work? Consider the answers to these questions."

Dream that we returned to the Mannkorp boardroom.
That was honestly my favorite part of this.

Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

Not to worry. Those'll be the interludes.

"I'm not a philosopher. I don't now anything about that stuff! I like my life, I like my work, I like my boss. That can't hurt, can it?

I'm sure it can, lol. I think Jasmine might resist the idea though. She's been through a lot today, and she is only nine months old. True, she has no memory of some of the more tragic events, but the emotional residue is not so easily dismissed. Hmmmm, am I rambling a bit?

You're starting to get a little distressed by the questioning.

"I'm not a philosopher. I don't know anything about that stuff! I like my life, I like my work, I like my boss. That can't hurt, can it?"

Even as you say it, you have a little lingering doubt in your mind, a sort of paranoid fragment deep down in your being swimming up and disturbing the rest of your mind.

"It depends on the situation, truly. But you must realize that you must not cling to certain emotions overmuch, as they may hinder your self-development and functioning. Though your dedication to your work and current life are all fine and good, you must have something to fall back on if they don't work out. You should define yourself as more than what you currently are, broaden the context of your existence so that it stretches beyond a single cafeteria, a single set of coworkers and a single superior. It makes you more adaptable."

The therapist adjusts his suit and breathes in the clean air, sighing deeply.

"At any rate, you are on the right track, Jasmine. Branch out, meet other people. Broaden your horizons. And with that, I suppose we are quite done for today, unless there is something else you wish to talk about or you wish to initiate that relaxation session you spoke of."

You're not sure if there's anything else. You've kind of covered most things already anyway. Maybe you could go for a relaxation session. Or maybe you could just follow the therapist's advice and go live in the real world.

Check your local area for Adventure. Look for thirteen dwarves and a wizard. Failing that, any advntre hook will do.

In that case, let's see. the therapist mentioned expanding beyond our current owner, job, and Jasmines. So... hmmm, I guess we couldn't exactly get another part time job. Maybe we could join a book club o a knitting circle. perhaps a Pirate Age reenactment community?
Acquire painting supplies. Look into piracy options.
