"Oh dear," you say, the thought of the chemical plant explosion entering your mind. "We really should not go near the East City or anywhere downwind of it."

Jerry looks at you incredulously.

"We're in East City, Jasmine. It's the biggest city in the world. All the good shit happens here."

"Well, that's certainly not good," you note.

"And why is that?"

"Yeah, J. What's the... uh... issue?"

"Um, well... it's a funny story, really..."

You're not sure why you said that, really. It's not a funny story at all. Lots of people are dead, presumably. That's not funny. Also, there might be some trouble incoming.

Try to get them inside. If they ask why just mention it may be slightly healthier.
If pressed mention the spill, but not the crash.

Simply tell them the truth. Is there a reason we're hiding information of the spill?

You decide that telling the truth is probably the best idea, as you are currently in the warm depths of a magnetic rail station and not in immediate contact with anything hideously poisonous.

"Well, there's been a massive chemical plant explosion. Presumably, this has made being outside rather dangerous."

"Holy shit, a chemical plant blew up? Damn. Glad I'm not outside!"

"Yeah... you know, we could get cancer from that stuff. Nobody wants that."

Suddenly, the didgeridoo player stops the music.

"Hey, you guys know when the train's arriving? Got a gig to get to!" His voice sounds like somebody took a tenor, tied it to a horse, then dragged it through mixed glass and gravel for twenty days.

Jerry still seems to be ignoring the guy.

"Um, Jerry... I think he's talking to us."

"Well, what am I supposed to tell him? Hang on, gotta make a call."

Jerry then quickly ducks into an alcove, taking out his phone. He then starts talking to someone, though

"Help me out here, ladies! Can't carry my phone on the job, ya know," the didgeridoo player asks of you and Julia.

"Um, J? Can you check? I think I might have left my phone... somewhere."

Well, the explosion was caused by a magnetic rail accident, so it's quite possible that the trains are delayed. Regardless, look up the info.

Isn't this the second rail "accident" since lunch started? make a note of that. Suggest we get somewhere safe, preferably away from the magnetic rail lines or anything industrial. Follow the breaking news closely.

Also, how the hell are they having these collisions?

Deliberately, is my guess.

You look around for a departures board, but all you can see is some kind of huge, blank screen. And some ads, also blank at the moment. Not a departure board to be found. You guess that's either because the trains come every five or so minutes or because of some sort of unforeseen circumstance. You look back at the didgeridoo hobo and shrug. Guess you'll have to check the news.

Looking at the newest news story, you get a bunch of possibly useful info. Namely, the fact that a train seems to have derailed suddenly in southern East City and flown off the rails, smashing right into a chemical plant after leaving its purportedly secure track. This, in turn, caused a massive failure of the containment facilities of the plant, releasing large amounts of sulfur and nitrogen oxides, not to mention a fair amount of other dangerous carcinogens and irritants into the air around it. Due to the completely unprecedented nature of the accident and the extreme confusion that followed, the plant is still releasing its contents. People are advised to stay indoors for the next week or so. In addition, due to the current spree of extremely suspicious magnetic rail accidents, the city council has decided to shut down the magnetic rail line immediately as the exact cause of these accidents is investigated. Citizens and the engineered are advised to keep calm and continue on their daily routines.

"Perhaps we should get somewhere safer. Such as away from industrial locations or the rail lines."

"Uh... why?"

"Well..."

You are about to elaborate more, but Jerry returns.

"Listen, guys, I just talked to Lucie. He's at the airport now, and he says that there's something about trains colliding and derailing on the info screen, and the chemical spill's apparently pretty fucking bad. We're supposed to be staying indoors and such."

His tone, oddly enough, is more annoyed than worried. You are about to say more, but the telltale mental disturbance of more news comes first.

"Well, shee-it," the didgeridoo player says from his position. "Guess I'm not workin' today, then."

He then takes off his hat and rather nasty-looking coat, revealing a casual tan jumpsuit underneath.

"So, what's this about train accidents? I was wondering where all the people were."
