I have enough scientists to man another lab with a couple left over, so I put a couple of pairs of them to work on basic diamond and gold mines in small labs so I can mine my own.

Do you have the 8 man? Either way, hope the mines turn out well. we could use non-crimson mines since some planets don't have all 3 resources.

Gamer2124 has disbanded a colony. 11769 of the citizens have fled to your colony Vraca. This is likely to affect its economy.

Also I constructed some basic wells and iron mines so i can afford building those sweet farms we got.

There hasn't been a non AR homeworld in a while. Its quite annoying. And since mining colonies got the same growth nerf as everyone its much harder to mine for res.

So.... The last couple days have been interesting. The rivers flowing through the city flooded and put a whole bunch of communities in my city and nearby in danger of being flooded as well. My neighbourhood was evacuated early yesterday morning. Behind my house is a golfing range, a little bit of a forest, and then the river, and in the span of about 10 hours the river was basically in my backyard. I watched power poles get swept away by the waters. It has since calmed down a bit but we're still on alert just in case. I do want to play this game but understandably that's not likely going to happen any time soon. Good luck with the empire guys!

Ouch, I'm so sorry for you man. Where do you live that that is happening? We had a huge flood a couple years ago and they had to evacuate a ton of people. Crazy stuff was floating down the street.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Seems like the worst is over; the rivers have receded quite a bit. But now begins the cleanup... Ugh.

So its been a while now and we seem to have about 5 people who stayed active which is worse than I thought but better than I expected. Isdar and Donuts, Shooer and Caitiline and Zammon all seem to have quit. I know Zammon had flood issues. All Shooer said was that it wasn't for him.

We have reached the goal of having amazing science for the faction and presumably the remaining active players found something they like.

Would anyone care to share why they stayed or quit?

Anyone new up for trying it out. We have still not succeeded in gaining a number of players large enough to have a DF only empire or faction.

Although we failed to have a civil war and made up with the enemy, if you want war there is a series of enemy players at the bottom of the galactic arm which we are going to fight. They are members of the Pencilcase, a somewhat lazy but extremely high performing empire full of top vets. Fighting may last a good while. So if you went inactive or didn't join due to the faction war being resolved, there is a new war on now.

If you quit and don't have the time or inclination to play, it may be helpful to fellow DFers to nationalize your colony by going to the colony and hitting the red disband button and then hitting nationalize. Do not transfer scientists as this has been determined to ruin the slots of scientists spawned directly on a given colony.

Wow I thought this thread died off. I can help you at caeleth.chatango.com more easily. I think they closed the green faction which may be a problem. Perhaps you could go Lost and be our ally that way, probably anyone else would have to do that to.

I am mandated in game. You can find me block going to highscores and then clicking colony and then my name as I am #1 in colony. Then send me a defense treaty in the message page, select it from drop down. It would be nice if we could get 3 or 4 new players as lost who spawn near each other. You could be our secret ally so no one attacks you and we could support you with tech and info and maybe money. As lost I would recommend landing one ship as an urban colony. Then land your other on a planet with high hab but minimal resources and set your index to military to build ships. If you have a good planet with all the resources I can teach you to make a quality mining colony. With tech from us for malls and mines and institutions you can get up to speed quickly and hopefully fend off any lost attacking you.

I'm struggling with keeping my mining colony at low wealth btw. I have communism, 5000 wages, 10% wealth tax, all local laws (martial law only when crime gets a little higher). My focus is on industry. I have only resource building (no farms) and 10 ent facilities, cause those fockers were very unhappy at the beggining. I still get a lot of resources, but i guess it could be better.
Colony wealth capped at 103 for some time now.

Who are you in game again? I have 75 wealth with 1000 wages. I got tried of having health nerf my growth and landmass. Honestly most people have wealth around 1000. Only super obsessive people get it lower and only at the cost of growth. The shitty landmass this round is nerfing indexes.

After playing a few hours of this, this game made me realize how much I liked space 4xs. So I went and played about fifteen hours of Aurora.

You played warfacts a bit? How was it? Sadly they closed Lost and Green so any new players will have to join opposing factions to the main Bay12 faction.

I could see the potential, but it was the same potential that I say in Aurora, which I simply prefer. With Aurora, I instantly felt like I was doing cool stuff. The combat has a delicious second by second combat, on a year by year scale. You design and build your first ships. Honestly, it was a huge let down for me when my ships were just given to me in WarFacts.
Dont get me wrong, I think that Warfacts is cool. I like the concept. But I think I will stick to Aurora for the time being.
