You can SORTA open doors remotely, if you run a line of doors from the door to the control room.

That's what I did to make the landing gear for the Falcon.

EDITEDIT: on the topic of harvesting planets, what happens when you remove all the blocks from one?

Not sure, I only harvested the surface because I needed sand for my Tatooine planet I'm working on. It'll be opened to the public soonish so factions can build embassies or whatever once I finish laying out the spaceport.

So last night I did a bunch of stuff, including shielding up Magic Tower and moving TeamSpacePirateWizard's homebase to an abandoned station (@ -8,-4,-3) so that I can use those large hangars they have as a garage. I also went to Greiger's station to buy some thrusters from his shop; turns out he had pulse weapons and computers for sale, which I might eventually incorporate into something when I actually get to making ships.

Anyway, I have pictures of the stuff I did last night up, and, for this album, all the photos with a GUI have captioning. And, as always, here's the pretty ones:

The meeting chambers on my homeworld are public-accessible and you could, so long as you don't start a riot, hang out there as you please, they're just not finished and there's nothing to do there.

Just make sure nobody blows up my parked ships/ inadvertently starts a war. I used to have an AI ship guarding it, but i left it a few sectors away.

I figured people here would be interested in this. A guy made an engine by docking a ship with a pulse cannon on a smaller ship, which pushes the smaller ship and drags the pulse cannon ship with it, creating thrust. He later added turrets, and found that the spinning the engine creates is good for increasing the turrets coverage area.

Got a good start on my Tatooine spaceport. Once this is done, I'll lay out the city, then people can come build whatever they want, as long as the exterior's sand, haha.

Also, watching a video, I saw someone hit some plex doors with something from a ship and it opened up. I looked it up, and apparently you can open and close plex doors with a docking beam. I never knew this.
