Yeah, but if you set something as your homebase, it and everything docked to it become invulnerable.

I believe whenever the A.I shoots at something they aim for the core block, regardless of the rest of the ship.

Actually, the pirate aims for the player model, regardless of you being inside the core or outside.  It tends to aim for the core if you are talking about AI vs AI.

So I finished the framework of the "Hound of Tindalos" Self-Propelled Gun, but despite its firepower it's got some problems against smaller, more agile ships (As is expected). At first I added 12 100-block SD-KB missiles, but those missiles are horribly derpy. Since the ship is pretty flat all around, I decided to add turrets to deal with it.

Problem is I have very little clue on how to make turrets viable (not to mention they look really ugly).

The ships stats are currently:

I've fiddled a bit with different turret designs, but they just don't seem to work (And they all end up rather boxxy, but that's probably just me).

1. Is it better to have smaller amounts of larger guns or larger numbers of smaller guns?

2. Is there some way to activate turrets instead of going through the AI blocks?

3. What's a good size for a medium turret? Mine are pushing around 550-ish blocks.

4. What's a good shield amount to shoot for on turrets?

So i noticed earlier in the week that everything in my ship catalog is gone.

Anyone else get this problem?

Suddenly wish i had the foresight to save more stuff locally.
Oops, lol.

Any ways, i don't know what happened to the designs i had that were being used to generate pirates...

Anyone see any Tysue_Fighter, Kiri_Fighter, or Mors pirates being spawned?

I think a bunch of blueprints saved to the server were corrupted so forsaken moved them out. he should be able to put them in if they weren't corrupeted.

It would be awesome if he'd go through and check a couple whenever the servers down and needs restarted anyway, and add them back into the list if they aren't corrupted.

Still no internet access for me, but I got cellphone service.

Hi all, I've been working hard on upgrading the living hell out of my homeworld (so many blocks...) and adding to Oblivion's meager stock of warships, I'd like to post some pics, but can't find any extra time to do so, so if anyone would like to see what's up feel free to drop in for a look (9,-10,2) (Oblivion is not responsible for anyone lagging out in proximity to our world)
