So I've been giving this a shot... What am I meant to be doing?
So far I have been mining asteroids with my magic harvesting beams, going back to the shop, selling everything, buying more mining beams and repeat. Is there much else to do? So far I haven't really seen anything but the shop and asteroids.

You can fight pirates who stand absolutely no chance against you if you constructed your spaceship correctly.

Well you need a lot of shields and weapons that can target onto them (the lock on missiles don't work correctly for me most of the time).

And if you dont want to accidently enable ultra-hard mode, dont save your ship as a blueprint.

Whyyyyyyyyy did I make my ships weapons so overpowered :'(

Alright alright, I've put up a dedicated server. We can at least bum around in creative mode since the game has no real challenge.

So I still can't find any other ships... Found a huge space station though. Don't know if that means anything.

My guess is that new players and their go-cart-ships would get brutally slaughtered by a group of mega-destroyers ;D

So far balanced is not a word I would use to describe this game. I have over 7,000,000,000 credits to my name, and cruise around in the tiniest ship possible with no weapons or anything because fuck the police. Still, lots of fun on forsakens server. Might build a battleship some time so we can all have fun in different weapon stations.

Plus some of the problems with the game is once a part is gone, it never comes back and reattaching them can be an excessive hassle.

The game needs either a blueprint system that allows the game to know what parts are missing (I am aware it has a blueprint system of buying ships wholesale), or for "repair beams" to just replace missing parts.

This and the completely broken economy are the two things I will be greatly pleased to see fixed.

I really want to be crafting my own stuff from minerals I mined myself, but what's the point in doing that if killing a pirate gives enough loot to just buy a fleet of super-carriers, which I can just abandon each time the paint is scratched and buy a new one instead of fixing it manually because goddamn manual fixing is a pain.

to be fair guys, it IS an Alpha, shit like this happens, probably won't even be balanced until at least Beta.

although, I have to agree. Pirates should be turned the fuck down, and minerals and all that material nonsense should be turned up to like 10; shouldn't be a god damn chore to build a nice ship, it should be fun and exciting!
