Well, I played on that server. I started by buying a 0 credit Battlestar Galactica, which is a huge ass ship with impressive firepower but no shields. I then scrapped it for parts, sold the parts, and bought a smaller ship with actual shielding, decent firepower, and good maneuverability. I found a pirate base (completely by accident, mind), easily blew up all the turrets, and looted it. I then sold most of the loot for, quite literally, about 10 billion credits. I bought every single million dollar + ship on the catalog and it barely dented my wallet. I then flew about in my multi-million dollar super ship with rockets that can blow holes straight through planets in about three hits and vaporized a shop hoping that some juicy Traders Guild ships would arrive for me to destroy (but they didn't )

I've tried 6 servers now and they all have the disapearing ship problem...
which means you have to relog every five minutes.
I'll check back when the problems are sorted out.

There is some in shops. Depending on your luck you can find L4 or L5 Negacide and turn it into a lot of usable L1 Negacide with a minerals separator.

I found a floating white diamond shape in space today. It looked like one of those things the bad guys in those Superman movies get trapped in. It wasn't made out of cubes either, just a solid white plane, half a cube thick.

When I shot it, the game crashed.

I have to agree with greatorder, it is unplayable. after joining the server, I kept being spammed by "server isn't responding" messages, and after several minutes I hadn't properly spawned yet.
Probably related to server location.

check the third yogscast video. One of them found a purple planet with vines on it that have one on it.

I tried joining a server but it keeps freezing me every ~5 minutes (sometimes more often sometimes less) and the only thing I can do to fix it is wait a bit and relog.

That's annoying to say the least.

In spite being called vines... there is little to me to suggest they are truly vines. Asteroids of the same design are covered in them.

It's generally what you should use anyway, as it's generally more reliable than normal printscreen, and it only captures the focused window.
