I figure the seams are an acceptable casualty of having a much more interesting planet overall.

Now, if only I could throw Schema in geology and astronomy classes and force him to do away with the planet 'themes.' Those seem silly to me.

one biome per face for terran planets, different sets for ice and molten worlds, also, are there gas giants?, also, bigger planets

Anyone else get graphical screwups with Pentas? One certain rotation of a penta for me has the cut face actually indenting, turning to from 4 big sides + 1 small angled side to 4 big sides + 2 really small angled sides. Also, shadows. Shadows on Realistic make Pentas look like absolute hell.

I've seen very pretty ship pictures on SM's main site and on here. What would you guys recommend for tilesets? Realistic is looking very... meh.

Actually the thing with the pentas is intended behavior, for inner corners you don't want to angle.

Given that only pentas which are facing a certain direction have that issue, I'd think it's not intended behavior and instead some sort of bug with the model forgetting where its vertexes and planes are supposed to be.

Nope, there was a whole (short) thread on it, in certain orientations/placements the penta becomes an inverse of the ugly-as-hell corner block.  I don't remember everything, but the thread is buried somewhere in the suggestions section of Starmade's forum.

I would say it's definitely not intended behavior. I just placed every orientation of the Penta block (total:8), and only under 1 orientation does it have that indent, and there is no accompanying orientation for not having the indent. Not only that, the surface that could be called the "top" behaves like it should (that is, not indented), generating a buggy graphical shadow onto the indented surface since none of the lines match up.

Just saw a demo of the new logic/ controller blocks: activation block, time delay block, AND gate block, NOT gate block, OR gate block and I think there was one or two others.

Oh the possibilities...

I haven't had much time lately what with all the slacking off I've been doing.

More seriously I really have been busy, new house and new job and all that. Excuse after excuse. :P

I'll get it working this week. Any config changes I should make?

The only one I know people usually like is increased max speed from 50 to 100. That's worked well in the past.
