The Byzantines never give in, do they? We should've filled the Empire with kinsmen so we wouldn't need to worry about power changes.

You could give in, play the vassal game for a while. No need to stress yourself with the problems of running the biggest Empire of the civilized world.

I favoured him a lot, Dutchie. He was nothing like you, Dad - he was a good and loyal brother, caring nothing for your cruel ambitions, and I rewarded him as such. His death was a great blow to the realm and his successor was an incompetent fool.

I was actually planning on making him as powerful as possible so just in case the wrong son would inherit, he could replace the pretender and become king himself.

Obviously I died a little too early to do that :x

But see, he had no wish to take over. He loved his brother, the rightful heir. For his service (and the high opinion) he was awarded new realms and honors such as the Kingdom of Bavaria. Your plans failed, old man. His heart was pure - he would never have betrayed me.

Nah, that's his sucky son or, like, nephew. I fully support any type of flaying going around.

I'd like to sign up, depending on the queue; if my would be turn comes within the month, I will have a save ready within the day; any longer, however, and it is for best that you just skip me, as I don't know what my schedule will be like.
