Hey, at least your steward had more than 5 in stewardship. Also, universities or monastic schools can be interesting to build in the other holdings of Vilnus.

We frown on Primogeniture 'round these parts, you realize. Atleast it's gonna make up vassals unhappy.

After rethinking it, you're right, Gavelkind loses it's cons when you're an emperor.
Will edit post with content soon.

Could you also post a direct vassal mapmode picture of the realm?

Sure:

(I outlined the Wendish Empire for easier read)

Not pictured - a single Finnish province north of the Hame and Lubeck vassals, belonging to Livonna(?). Here's the normal map:

As you can probably tell, I took some provinces here and there, not much happened really. I swear I'll give a proper report, but right now I am writing in haste, because there's a family reunion meeting or something. Back in a few hours.

It's basically impossible for us to change our succession laws anyway. The every vassal positive opinion and no vassals fighting requirements are too difficult to meet with a realm as large as ours.

You'd be surprised. I actually achieved that in less than a month, thanks to some well placed honorary titles, lands and gifts. I noticed that a single 42 gold gift increased our relations with a lord by 72. The only thing I was lacking was 10 years of reign.

Just make all kingdoms and empires have different succession laws, just to spice stuff up for our descendants ;)

(sorry if this post sounts over- or too dramatic, it's just how I am)
So.
Some things went down.
During the last 10 years(man time flies past in this game) I kept trying to om nom nom some small counties by my border, married my family into other dynasties, educated child fun, in other words nothing in particular for an emperor. Thing is, I ignored the factions.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Yeah.

It is quite obvious which one I picked.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

At first I was 'fuck what do this not gon be gud', because I did just lose a kingdom off my hands, a small kingdom, but kingdom nontheless. Small rebel counties popped up here and there as well, making it a bit harder to assemble a doomstack.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You can see it's not as bad as it looks now. Even with Pommerania Pomorze rebelling, I still outnumbered them, 47k vs ~13k. I gave orders for my troops to siege lone counties and then regroup by the rebel kingdom's border.

Then, something very unexpected happened.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

...yeah.
Kind of a shame, kind of a relief. Shame, because my brother Kantibutas wants his butas really kicked - he holds two fucking kingdoms, has 1/3 of my men and still doesn't like me. He's not even ambitious, he's just got too many things in his childhood and now he wants a diamond-encrusted platinum alloy pink fucking ferrari or something. Piece of shit.
Relief, because I don't have to deal with them. Always good.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Those are the provinces I've conquered so far. Kind of shit, considering that I could just eat Denmark or Sweden with a single 50k army, but I decided to take it carefully. The eggplant-shaped one I plan on making the kingdom of Finland, and definetly not giving it to Kantibutas.

Wait, the coat of the Wendish Empire changed too now ?
And who owns what kingdoms now ?  We had Lithuania, Poland, Bohemia, and Pomerania I think.

AFAIK the current ruler's brother controls Pommerania and Bohemia, while Poland and Lithuania are part of the imperial crown.

That's exactly how it is. I plan on getting the empire of Carpathia during my turn, but might not succeed - we'll see.

Don't you need to be Altaic for that?

Not Altaic (that's, I think, Tartaria), but it has some restrictions. Culture-shifting is a go?

As long as you can find a RP reason for it, I don't see why not.
